Need help getting rid of a CA

Hello Fico friends,

I have been having a problem with a company known as Capitol Management. They keep calling me about someone else’s debt. I have told these idiots many times they have the wrong number, and that the person does not live here. So, now it is time to release the wrath of GOD upon them. I would like some help, in the best way of getting this done. I have filed four complaints with the FTC. ( not sure if that is the place to start ) I want to see if I can get this done without going to a lawyer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently a student at ashford university.I live in omaha, NE but take online classes through their campos, which is located in clinton IA. I contacted them late last year and told them i wanted to get a degree in speech pathology, so they signed me up for a degree in health and human services, telling me this was what i needed to do for speech pathology. After a couple months of taking classes, i noticed i wasn’t learning anything related to speech pathology, so i started researching it. I was so spectical that i called and talked to a different advisor who told me that they has indeed signed me up for the wrong major! I’m now in the middle of my third course for health and human services, which is a complete waste of my time. I wasted months of my time and thousands of dollars of my money because of their advisors incompetence, and now i’m starting from square one. Can i sue them?

I Have to Buy Fico Standard to Find My CS?

I created this account today with hopes of finding my credit score. Once I finish browsing this website, I am under the impression that I have to purchase Fico Standard in order to acquire my credit score.

Is this correct or am I overlooking a thing or two? If I do I have to purchase Fico Standard, I notice one page has it as a one time charge of $17.95 and another page has it as $19.95 per report. Is it a one time charge or will I have to pay everytime I would like to know my credit score?

I’ve been dealing with listening to voicemails from Capital One Auto Finance for probably almost a year. I finally started answering the phone and repeatedly tell each one of them the same thing. They have the wrong number! They all tell me the same thing by apologizing and verifying that in deed it’s a wrong number, then continue to call my number. I have enough problems with my own creditors. LOL

Is there any way to stop these nuisance calls?

Fundraising company breaking multiple laws…reward?

First, off I apologize for the forum I am posting in, if its the wrong forum, please move it for me, thanks..

I worked for a fundraising company where they telemarket people into making donations for police and fireman groups which they had contracts with.

Basically the DA in my state has been after them for years and now I am finally going to give them the proof they need…but, how can I possibly get them to pay me a reward for the info I have to indite the owners???

Fraudalent Hard Inquiry

I received a letter in the mail the other day thanking me for my recent cc application. Unfortunately I never applied. It was denied, reason being “unable to verify application information. So I called right up and was told someone applied online using my name, address and home phone #.

Fortunately for me they had the wrong SS# and date of birth. This comes at a bad time because I am planning on applying for new credit.

So my question is should I put a 90 day fraud alert on my reports and attempt to get the hard inquiry removed? The CC’s I want do not pull TU which the inquiry is on, so I am unsure if I should try to get it off or just get new credit and then freeze my reports and let the inquiry age off.

Use of wheel boot on private property in NY, USA

In the State of New York, is it legal for an employer to use a wheel clamp (i.e. Denver boot) on your vehicle if you go the wrong way in their parking lot or park in an area designated for another shift? (The car would be booted until you had a one on one with the plant manager)

Hello,

We’ve endured two problems with our post office for years:

1. They won’t deliver anything with a missing or incorrect apartment number

2. They don’t (appear to) return undeliverable mail.

As a result, if any biller gets our apartment number wrong, we don’t get the bills and the biller doesn’t get them back. That’s fine for utilities, which we pay each month, but sucks for unexpected bills like medical charges not covered by insurance.

I recently found out that an old ~$12 charge went to a collection agency because the biller had the wrong apartment number on the bill.

What should I do? It hasn’t hit my credit report yet, but I’m wondering if I should just let “sleeping dogs lie.” Is there some sort of structured letter that I have to send the collection agency? Is it bad to pay it off via the CA?

Collections! Mistake! Help!

I got a call from a collections person today about an unpaid emergency room bill. They have been sending it to the wrong address (had apartment number wrong) and it’s not been paid. I IMMEDIATELY paid the collections agency and they assured me b/c I paid now they won’t report it not being paid.

I am also worried that the source of the bad address is the Hospital which has my wrong apartment number, how many other bills could be wrong and being returned?

Sould I be worried? I have 790+ credt scores and I don’t need this right now.
