New Mortgage Question?
I was just approved for a mortgage with an 6.75 interest rate.
It is an FHA loan. I am a vet so using a VA loan is an option for me. My monthly payment will be 1,023 a month. I am a first time home buyer and I think that is steep. My fico scores arent that great but they arent terrible either. I just want to know, should I go with the FHA? Shop around for a better interest rate or go with a VA Loan. The loan was for 130,000

Portfolio Recovery Assoc. Pulling Hard Inquiry on my Trans Union
Portfolio Recovery pulled a hard inquiry on my Trans Union file and I was wanting to know if any one has been able to get the inquiry removed with the No PP letter posted on the Fico Forum? This is and old debt that is way past Sol and has been off my report for years.

Equifax vs. Trans Union Score
My Equifax score is 594 my Trans Union score is 695, why is there such a vast difference? Both reports have the same information and the same delinquencies I've paid off and about 2K left in the last three payments I need to pay off

Collection Agency Reporting a Debt with a Different Opening Date
Due to a nasty divorce, I was unable to pay off a couple of credit cards. To the best of my knowledge, the debts became delinquent in June 2001 (30 days after payment was due) and so I was expecting all of the negative remarks to fall off my credit last year. I recently pulled my credit report and noticed that the original debtors no longer appear.

Help with getting to 800….so close and I took a step backwards.
Not sure what to do here. Last week I was at: Experian: 785 Equifax: 789 Trans Union: 797 Today Experian: 785 Equifax: 785 Trans Union: 789 Last week I added two lines of credit. I got credit for two new iMacs at BestBuy.

Two different scores supposedly from the same credit bureau – Equifax
I just started a free scorewatch trial from myFICO and it says my Equifax credit score is 658. I also started a free trial with Experian to get all three credit bureau scores and this time it says that my Equifax score is 699. The other two (Experian and Trans Union) both say 671

How many points does a single inquiry cost to your fico score? I have 14 on Trans Union, but 6 on Experian and Equifax
