Turns out there were 2 paid medical collections on her report from 2 years ago when broke her finger and went to the hopsital while away at college when she was 18. As a full time student and my dependent she was covered by my insurance. I was late paying the co-pays of $32.00 and $30.00 but that ended up on her credit report not mine. She never even knew about the bills because they came to my house and she was away at college. I feel absolutely horrible that my actions would affect her like this. She is very responsible and has 3 jobs while taking 18 hours in school and wanted to start building her credit.

I disputed both of them online but both were verified. I also sent letter to the credit agencies explaining the issue and asked them to move the collections to my name – that didn’t work. I have talked to the billing offices of the doctors, but they just say that there is no balance due. What else can I do? I assume that they went on her credit report because she was 18 at the time, but is there some rule about her being my dependent that would work? Or maybe HIPAA rules?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated. I really need to get this fixed for her.

Thanks!

A dentist I had visited a while back had sent me a “balance forward” statement 3 years after the last data of service, immediately followed by a completely erroneous itemized bill and an unauthorized charge on one of my credit cards within their file for the amount stated on their bill.
At the time of the treatment, all the out-of pocket expenses were verbally negotiated and paid up front.
It took me months to clean this up and get the charge to be reversed on my credit card.
One year after this incident, the doctor had filled a lawsuit against me seeking payment for this factious billing. I had to show up three times in court, to answer the complaint, once the case was adjourned as the plaintiffs attorney had filled for application and for the trial itself. The judgment was in my favor and did not have to pay a dime.
I had a lot of patience, did not hire an attorney and went through all this on my own … after all this was over, I concluded that at least I could post a review against this doctor about the negative experience I had with him, which I did.
Among others I had mentioned that this doctor will persuade you for unnecessary treatment, that this billing records are a mess and his unprofessionalism will make you sick to your stomach. My user id was my first name, my last initial. A week later there was a comment posted under my review by the plaintiff’s attorney advising me to take my defamatory statements somewhere else and that I would be a happier person if I would’ve paid my bills!
In the meanwhile I have removed my review, just because I don’t want to hear anything from this doctor, nor his attorney … he had mentioned “defamation”, so I was worried that they could file a lawsuit on this ground. Is this possible? Can we even post a review now days and which are honestly describing what I had to go through?

Looking forward to your response

I was with this major corporation for 18 years and never written up for any reason in those 17 years in fact I was one of the top employees. We had a male employee that was was written up no less than 10 times given warnings and he laughed at them. he knew he was in the minority with the company and he told me this. He and I argued one afternoon after his 10th write up and he yelled screamed and actually came close enough to me where I was afraid for my safety. Well he went on paid leave and this is while he was being investigated for major issues. He retaliated stating false statements and they investigated my office and this lady thought she was a real detective. I was having a difficult personal life with a sick spouse and this was the worst experience of my time at this job. she found a couple of things from the prior year and i didn’t admit to it at first but she told me that since the company was going through division changes that my response would get put under a stack of papers and everything would be ok. Well, I surreality but still told her I wasn’t sure if I did this and with in a week.; I was called in and fired on the spot. Now, the guy that was fired claimed during our argument i told him he only had the job because he was a male. I NEVER SAID THAT. The company tried to get me to admit to saying I did but I refused. Well I fired with a schizophrenic husband no money to care for him. Now what I was fired for was something that is done every day and I just told them i guess i did because the investigator said I did. I was under duress between my husbands paranoia and this investigator. I know I made a bad decision to do this because of the income. I was actually re-leaved and didn’t look back at that office. He was a wast of time and he was jealous from day one when he didn’t get the job and I did. now this happen almost a year ago but I have been dealing with a schizophrenic husband and he is beating me down even more than ever. Not physically but emotionally. I believe I would have had a chance to wind this case. I would like to file suit against C and get back my integrity. I still really didn’t talk about it because my crazy husband says I got fired for another reason. I not dislike him too.

My husband has been having continuous troubles with his ex. They were married and have 2 children ages 16 & 8. She lives in another County. The mother has cut off all contact with us and has told the children numerous lies about us. The mother has also been telling the children derogatory statements about their dad, such as he doesn’t love them & he only cares about my children from my previous marriage. They’ve been divorced now going on 5 years & things have not gotten any better. If mom don’t like the the answers that she’s given she gets very vindicated & engages in slanderous behavior. 2 yrs after their divorce she signed over their son then @ age 6 due to the fact that she was in & out of domestic shelters as well as homeless shelters. This was adopted into their case through the courts. Their son resided with us for 2 yrs until one day she came down without any notice and picked up their son from school; however it was her visitation weekend, but with the understanding that prior to any of her visits she was to contact us within 48 hrs stating that she was wanting to spend time with their son. We found that she had done this when she had already gone to the school signed him out early and was back @ her home in another county. My husband then told her that she didn’t have his approval to do this due to the fact that he hadn’t been able to contact her for over a week to get some questions answered that she had caused. She then just ignored him and didn’t respond to him. So we ended up having to contact our local law enforcement. They were able to get in contact with her after a few times & messages left for her to return their call. She contacted the law officer he asked her where she was and she stated that she was home. So then the officers asked about the child that she had taken from the county; she stated that she did have him, but that it was her weekend visit. My husband told the officer prior to her calling that it was her time however she didn’t use the appropriate channels. She was then told to call her x husband to discuss when & how the child would be returned. She done this as we were still in the office of the officer she insured that we could pick up their son as usual on Sunday evening without any problems. We agreed to this and let things go as usual. When Sunday arrived my husband tried contacting her with no luck on any response from her. He had just left her several messages stating that we’d be in town early & that when the time came up to pick up his son he’d call when we’d be on our way. She never answered so then we called for the local law enforcement in that town. They arrived and they tried to make contact with her with no luck as well. So to get my question answered it’s been 8 months that we’ve seen or spoken to his son; we’ve gone to court on this issue already but we feel that the judge that hears this case isn’t understanding what is really going on here. This Judge is the one that approved the change of custody when the papers were present to the courts that my husband & his x wife would share split custody of their children. This Judge ended up ordering a advisory consultant; GAL. The court order stated that they had 10 days from the date the order was set. My husband & I did what was requested with 48 hrs. However his x wife didn’t do so. So then the advisory consultant advised that we file a motion to show cause. I.E. that she hadn’t done any of the court orders. So in regards to my aforementioned what is our options for gaining his son back into our custody in a timely manor? I also need to let known that since they had split up she ended up a criminal history consistently of fraud; larceny and so forth. Can someone please help us with this matter because it’s tearing us apart very deeply.

Here is the low down. I dont know what all information you may need, so please let me know what I left out.

I have many old credit cards, but have only opened 4 new cards since the purchase of my home. (Most of my credit cards were from 2002-2006 (college years) and have not been used since). I only use two (Lowes – home renovations, and Bank of America – school purposes) on a regular basis.
The cards that have been opened since the purchase of my home are: Best Buy (no balance – never a late payment), Havertys (no balance – never a late payment), Lowes (balance: $2200, currently being payed off bi-weekly, paying well over monthly minimum), Bank of America (balance $3300, currently being payed on – used for school, I get tuition reimbursement for my masters degree through work so it always has a hefty balance).
I have had my Chase Bank card for years now. At the time my credit was ran, it had a balance of $905, but it has since been payed off. Also, my Victorias Secret card had a balance of approximately $300 at the time my credit was ran, but has since been payed off. My Victorias Secret card is the only card that had deliquent payments on it. (I just forgot. I cut up the card the day I payed off the balance).

My boyfriend and I live together, so we split all of the bills. *Sigh*. If only the creditors saw it this way. LOL.

The home I purchased was a modest $125,000 – well within my means. I still owe $116,000.
I also owe $14,900 on my car.

My credit report said I have 78% of my credit remaining? (Not sure if I said that right….)

The people at the car dealership said my credit score was low because of my home loan (debt to income ratio?). If this is true, I cant help but feeling like I’m being punished for owning my home instead of renting.

Could someone please advise?
I have a small home-based business in California selling wholesale repair parts and a good majority of my customers are elderly. The access to my home is about 650 feet long with 500 feet of the drive located on a “deeded easement for ingress and egress” over an adjoining property. Both mine and the adjoining property use the drive for access to our homes. The other property owner ” servient owner” has now placed 2 very abrupt speed bumps and has located them approx. 15 feet apart just prior to the entrance of my property. They were set and located in a way to try to harass my customers and deter them from continued business. I know this because he also has removed the street identification sign that the County required for all residences who share a common drive to install back in 1999. The servient owner took out the sign and pole as a way to try and make it more difficult for new customers to find my location. I have made multiple requests to the servient owner and county agencies to correct both the harassments and all they do is direct me towards hiring a lawyer. Financially, I am not in a position to hire a law firm at this time and I am afraid to speak to my liability company for fear they will just cancel my policy because of the potential for a claim.
Now, a new wrinkle has come up during a discussion with one of my elderly customers. She has complained to me that each time she goes over the speed bumps it causes her pain in both her back and neck. I am now concerned about the possibility of one of my customers filing a lawsuit against me because of the speed bumps causing them damage. Also, in my research I have found that home-based businesses are supposed to be ADA compliant and when I checked with the County planning Department, they tell me that they consider home-based businesses as exempt in their regulations. I know the ADA is a federal law and I don’t think the county can make that exception. So now on top of a possible physical injury suit, I’m also looking at a possible “access” ADA claim.
So, my question is; am I the liable company or the servient owner and possibly county services the liable ones? I would surely appreciate any advice I can get regarding this potential matter.

I got a request for more paperwork to verify that the kid was living there.
She didn’t go to preschool, no doctor visit , no NOTHING. In that year she didn’t had anything on her name.
Can they NOT let me have her as a dependent because of the missing papertrail?
Wouldn’t be obvious that she would be living with the mother since there’s noone else who could have her?

(I had to amend this because at the time the ex boyfriend claimed her with no rights to do so and also he was in prison most of that year)

hello. i live in a mobile home park and once every year we have to pay taxes in addition to our rent. these taxes go up every year and currently are over $700 nearing the $800 range in addition to the around $600/700 rent depending on where in the park you live.

when these taxes are unpaid or if you only pay a certain amount the office will take your rent and put it towards these taxes, which i find highly questionable.

i am already suspicious of the fact we must pay these taxes in the first place, let alone having our rent taken from us.

if anybody could please let me know the legality of this, or at the very least WHY they are allowed to do this.

Thanks for your time.
