Tax claims questions
Are parent's legally allowed to claim extra curricular activities on their taxes? (ie: dance, swimming, soccer, etc) Also, if someone is teaching privates and having checks written to them instead of the school they are renting from - 1) How does one claim this on their taxes.

If two parents have never been married and the mother has claimed the child on her taxes for thirteen (13) years, which parent has the legal right to claim the child on their taxes?
