Roommate disappeared, lease still active
My roommate and I signed a lease earlier this year that expires in a few months. A couple of days ago the roommate moved out without saying a single word and left to a different state

illegal subleter refuses to pay rent
Hi, When I moved into my apartment I assumed that my roommate in fact was on the lease. Then I was told that there are two persons on the lease: Myself and a second person who actually sublets the apartment to the roommate I met. This was fine with me.

What methods of payment I can require, and can I have a relative evict on my behalf?
I am preparing a lease for a person who will be renting my furnished condo in Massachusetts for 8 months while I’m away doing work for a nonprofit. My worry is that the person might try to squat at the end of the lease term, even though the lease says it’s non renewable and all that

Renting a place uninhabitable from the start
A friend and I found a place to rent that we liked but it smelled like smoke due to the current tenant (and owner) being a smoker. We spoke about the issue and how my roommate was allergic and spoke about how to remove it and were hopeful that by our move-in date that the smell would be gone.

Too many tenants in a house than the lease allows?
When I signed the lease, the lease had stated that only 5 people are allowed to live in that house, but the housemates keep on inviting other people to live with us to the point where up to 8 people could occupy the house. The landlord has no issue with this, but 8 people in a house leads to overcrowding and I definately have never agreed to this. Is this enough reason for me to get out of the lease without any legal consequences
