Portfolio Recovery Goodwill Success!

Thank you to all the members who helped me out, especially william23!   I sent a couple goodwill emails out last week regarding collections account from Portfolio Recovery I had paid. I checked my TU report today and the collection is gone! Hazaa! Thanks again to everyone, there really is forgiveness out there in the credit world

So if I pay a medical account that is with a CA, will it cause…

...the reporting period(the seven years) to start over? From what I've read, I say no. I have a couple of medical accounts that are with a CA

Short Credit History

One of the negative indicators listed on my credit reports is that I have a short credit history.  12 years, 9 months.  I'm 31 y/o.  Couldn't really have a longer credit history at this point in my  life.  lol.  Just tought it was a little funny that as long as I've been allowed to have credit, I have had credit. Oh the joy if the credit game!

Disappearing Tradelines: What is Happening?

  In the past I had a signature loan from both Alliant and PenFed that were supposed to report to the credit bureaus.  All during the term of the loan and even now 3 months after payment in full, the loans have yet to appear on any credit report.  Both credit unions say they submitted to data to the CRAs and used my proper name and other data.   Can this indicate a split file?  Should I be worried?  Should I even care?  Solutions

Why are Insurance Co’s always softing my credit reports?

If insurance companies can only see my name, address, and FICO score,  what correlation,  if any, exists between my FICO score and an insurance score?   I could understand that if ,  they were able to see my full report,  they would  be able to offer property, auto, and life coverage by knowing my income & property holdings
