With the mortgage rescue plan do you have to contact your current motgage provider?
Do I have to do a modification to my existing mortgage, or can I apply to refinance with another bank? My APR is well above the current rates and my servicer already denied a modification request. I am not underwater, but I definately don’t have 20% equity so prior to now I haven’t been able to get a new loan, since I am still current on the one I have. I know the rules aren’t published yet, but I want to be ready to go on March 5. My taxes have gone up about $ 700 per mo. since the original loan (I live in NJ) so I am above the 38% threshold. I would love to get rid of my present mortgage holder, but can I, while taking advantage of the new bill?

How can I get a same day loan for about 25k tomorrow?
I found a great property investment opportunity which involves me reinstating a foreclosure and purchasing the property at the principle amount afterwards. I qualify for the the loan portion and have closing costs covered. Credit about 700, but my commision work history is only 1 year old and not reflecting on last years taxes (since I used to work an hourly job). I would have mortgage and loan payed off in less than two months. What options might I have?

CPA Goofed ACH Payment to NYS Dept of Tax and Finance!
(I apologize in advance for the length of my post) My cpa filed our married filing jointly New York State tax return last Saturday afternoon using a software called Greattax Pro. While she was filling out our taxes, she asked us if we would like to make a payment towards our tax liability. We agreed to make a partial payment of $800 towards our $2650 tax bill and gave her permission to make an ACH debit (online payment from my checking account).

Tax claims questions
Are parent's legally allowed to claim extra curricular activities on their taxes? (ie: dance, swimming, soccer, etc) Also, if someone is teaching privates and having checks written to them instead of the school they are renting from - 1) How does one claim this on their taxes.

Looking for Lawyer for Federal Tax Court
I filed a return to receive a portion of a prior year's tax paid and was put through the typical process of pushed from one IRS agency to another where finally the Appeals department denied the claim although all legal claims are proven and documentation provided. Because I am familiar with the difficult task of taking a claim to federal court, can anyone recommend a lawyer with specific tax experience to receive this money back? (Also, I only filed for half the amount paid for this year, if I file in district or federal court to receive it, can I change the amended return and claim all the taxes that were paid?)
