Is my online business idea legal?
i want to start an online business, but im not sure if the premise is entirely legal. The site would operate much like "penny auction" sites, where users buy "bid packs" to then use to bid on prizes (gift certificates to online retailers at $20, $50, and $100 denominations).

Please help, in a tough situation.
I am in TX and I was recently laid off, and due to that , I had to break the lease and move to my home country. Now the apartment community wants to charge me for all the concession in the rent (ie there was a market rate established during the time of me from the start date apt minus my rent amount). for eg, my rent is 900 where is my market rate on that apt is 1100, so my concession is $200 per month

Experian Credit Score & Report for $1
I was under the impression that we as consumers are unable to obtain our Experian credit scores anymore, I think someone said since February 2009, and that now we can only get Equifax & TransUnion. I don’t much on the subject, but just came across this “limited time offer” on Experian So whats the deal with Experian?

Need lowdown on canceling credit cards
Hi, my name is Lynn. Over the past 15 years, I have accumulated 7 credit cards, most of which I do not need. I've posted about this subject before and I usually get conflicting answers from people. My car insurance will not give me a lower rate because I have too many credit cards- I have AAA Michigan. First, are there any car insurance companies out there that don't care how many credit cards you own? And second, I want to cancel 3 of the cards I don't use- one's for Midas, The Gap, and an Exxon/ Mobil gas card. I've cut all three of those up and haven't used them in ages. Most people tell me not to cancel, but now that there is new credit card legislation thanks to our President-can I cancel a card without a penalty to my FICO SCORE???? My score is 743. I have never been in debt so far but I did make one late payment that was beyond my control, I was in the hospital and noone could help me with it. Is there any way I can write an explanation on my report of why it was late or possibly get it erased without resorting to a law firm to go through all the red tape for me, as I can't afford to do that? I know I'm asking some tough questions, however, I really need to hear some sound ideas and beliefs about how I can improve this situation without jeopardizing my score. Please respond, especially if you've gone through something similar to this and it turned out all right. Thank you very much!!!!

Do I need permissions to produce a book of my poster collection?
Hello, I am the owner/curator of a vast collection of promotional posters related to a specific 80's music group. I am producing a book of selected posters from my collection -- I am writing all the text, and a photographer is being employed to shoot all the posters that will be included in the book. I am wondering if I will have to obtain permission from the band, past record companies, artists, photographers or any other known person/entity who may be responsible for, or credited on, any of the posters featured in my book

retrieving evidence
About a year ago my buddy was arrested and his backpack was taken which had some pot and some personal belongings and also a few illegal pills(which he was never charged for). He was charged at the time with the pot but now (a year later when he has the property release paperwork) he's worried they might be just waiting for him to go pick it up and rearrest him because of a couple pills. Did they overlook them?
