Storage Unit dispute – Take to Small Claims Court?
I rent the end unit of a brand new but small storage unit complex. This is an unsecured (no surrounding fence) 16-unit facility just off a major street in my community. Prior to the situation evolving that I will explain I had been late on my rent once but was "current" on my rent when this situation began: I was contacted by the landlord (lady) and was told that I had to clean-up the ''east end'' of the units or I would be kicked-out

Withheld property
This is a fairly long story so please bear with me. My boyfriend and his mother were living together in the same state, but a different county than me for several years following her request for him to move back in

Being evicted in 3 Days, need help
I was searching for an apartment, when I came across the one I live in now since February. Before I moved in I inquired about the pet policy, as I have a ball python that has been in the family for 8 years, he stated he did not have a problem with it.

Landlord trying to evict us
Basically we have been renting for 8 months now and when we signed the lease back in Dec '09 many repairs were needed like the 38 year old deck out front. It was said but not written down the deck would be replaced in the spring. Some issues came up 2 months ago like the AC not cooling and the 26 year old hot water heater leaking

principle software developer – leaving to create similar software?
The company I work for manages government forms. That is to say, government forms come into the office, are QA'd, sent to the appropriate government office, and checked.
Tenant burned up pump, flooded basement
My husband and I live in a new 3-story house and are currently renting out the finished basement to a female tenant. The way that our house is plumbed, the tenant is on a separate pump than the upper two floors. Unbeknown to us, our tenant had been flushing tampons and Q-tips down the toilet, which eventually caused the pump to burn out and our basement to flood with raw sewage.
