Paying off debt
I'm finally able to start paying off my debt. My questions is when I pay off my debt to original creditors instead collection agencies what kind of affect does that have on my report

Brother/Tenant won’t pay rent
I bought a house in July of 2006 and my brother moved in with me at that time with the expectation that when he found a job he'd start paying rent. Its 3.5 years later, he still hasn't found a job with more than 15 hours a week (isn't looking) and won't pay rent or any bills. I am moving and want to rent out my house to tenants that will pay rent

Debt too low to file bankruptcy but too high to pay right now. What should I do?
I am here as an international student. This Summer I have fall behind my credit card payments and my student loans, my bank account is on negative numbers. I would need about $2500 to be all set but the government doesn't allow me to work.

Quick question about AT&T
AT&T has both my name and my brother's name on it. Currently my brother is paying for it monthly, if I decide to take over the monthly bill and start paying it with my cc will my credit report adopt the history of that TL?
