assignment of llc membership interests
A few years ago, a partner and I formed a llc and purchased a small retail business. Due to the large portion of intangible assets (70%Goodwill) in the agreed upon price, the seller agreed to finance. To protect his security interest, for collateral, we provided A signed, undated assignment of all membership interests in the llc in conjuction with our resignations as members of llc,also signed and undated.

Company possible breaking FACTA laws and/or violation employee’s personal information
I believe the company I am working for has some serious issues with their security of employee's personal information among other issues, to the point now that I am starting to question my employment there and the fact they have my personal information as well. Including FACTA, I believe there are various state and federal laws about employers protecting this information. Over the course of the last few years I have found documents with all manner of a person's personal information strewn all over the building

Landlord losing property for non-payment of taxes
My son received a letter yesterday Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from the landlord stating that due to non-payment of taxes, the landlord's property was going to be sold on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at an auction. The letter noted that on Thursday, July 8, 2010 the landlord intended to enter the premises and remove all of the appliances, refrig, stove etc. and on Tuesday, July 13,2010 they intended to have all utilities turned off to the building.

New owner/landlord trying to evict us…Options?
Hi Everyone, Thanks for taking the time to open and hopefully read this thread. I currently am living with my fiance, his brother, and his mother in a home they have been renting since 2008. The original owner of the property went into default on payments, ran off with their security deposit, and let the property go into a bankruptcy state

Liability for tenant/cosigner if someone else lives in/damages apartment
Location: San Francisco, CA I signed a year lease last August, I'm a student with no credit history so my dad had to cosign on the lease for me. The original company I signed with went bankrupt and the building was transferred to another company a few months in. I never got a new lease with the new company and I've been confused on some issues (such as pets - the lease I signed said no pets but the new company has been renting to many people with dogs) but it hasn't been a problem so I haven't asked about it.

Complicated Security Deposit Question-After 2 yrs Landlord Says I owe Sec Deposit
Just recently I received a notice form my landlord that upon an audit of my account they do not have listed my security deposit. They are now wanting proof that I paid it when I moved in.
