How can I increase my credit scores?
I'll try not to make this post too long. My husband and I are looking to buy a house at the end of this year. With our scores now, we got pre-approved for FHA loan. When the lender pulled my report, one score was 712 (efx) and the other two were 672 (xpn) and 681(tuc). I have 4 major credit (barclays, b of a, dillards amex, cu) cards and 3 store cards (macys, kays, old navy, 4 if u count dillards again). I have low balances on my CU card, kays, and old navy card. My barclays card, macys card have pretty high balances and the amex is in the middle. The only other things I have on my report are student loans and a car loan. I have never been late on anything. What can I do to increase my score?

Thanks everyone…I’ve almost reached my goal
I wanted to thank every contributor on this board for their advise, even if it wasn't directed at me. My goal of reaching a 700 score by the end of summer is almost accomplished. I checked my scores on 3/31 and they were TU 699, EQ 686. Looks like i might be able to get my TU 700 by the middle of summer, and hopefully EQ 700 by the end of summer.:smileyvery-happy: Lots good advise on this board, I went from a sub 500 score in April 2008 to almost 700 now

How long does it take for Experian and Transunion to update credit report?
I was recently added as an authorized user to an Amex and on Sunday morning it reported to Experian and shot my score up from 625 to 700! I am trying to qualify for a mortgage and needed to get my scores up. My question is- when will Experian and TransUnion update? I'm excited to see my other scores come up too.

Guesstimate of Score Increase
I want to apply for credit in May and want to get my scores as high as possible. TU is 693 and EQ is 663, both reporting identical information. I know that my CC util is hurting my score. Both cards are at 50% util. Can anybody take a stab at how many points my scores can go up by mid May, due to paying off the balances today and getting my util to 0-1%?

Score difference?
I am signed up, directly through Equifax, for a plan that allows unlimited reports/scores and notifies me of any changes at all 3 bureaus. A few weeks ago (the same day I bought a new car) I pulled my scores and they were EQ/778 EX/792 TU/791. I decided to use Ford's in-house financing to take advantage of $2,500 in rebates, as their rates were very competitive with my CU

98 Point difference between two bureaus – wow
I recently had my credit pulled by a car dealer - no idea if the scores were FICO or not, though the EQ seems like a FICO score. They pulled 608 from EQ. I wasn't shocked by this, as EQ has always hated me, and been my lowest score
