Characteristics in a Custom Score Card

We've used Residential Status as one of the many characteristics that we use in our custom application scorecard.  In discussing our custom application scorecard with a banker group last week, they mentioned that the use of this characteristic is illegal.  They could not cite any regulations but were adamant that it can not be used.   All the research that we've done in the development of the scorecard and after points to the use of this characteristic as being legal and some even recommend it.    Has there been any changes to the law as of late that would affect custom scorecards.  Does anyone have a reference or regulation that they could point me to so to?   Thanks!

Bullying/wrongly acused

On to the next one, I struggled a bit, my preceptor (Indian) I felt was bullying me, she would say to me" You seem to know everything" sarcatically, even other employees notice this and would say " Dont scare myname" if there was some task that went wrong she would " Ah it was you" to me , even though I wasnt handling that job and again other employee would say " Dont do that" to her. I was grudgingly passed on to the next preceptor (Indian) only two of them at work.

adoptive parent with a sealed NY juvenile record?

I was hoping you might assess the following situation and provide some guidance. My wife and I are very interested in adopting a child, but as we begin our journey, a regrettable episode from my adolescence is hanging over us like a dark cloud, and we simply don't know how to handle it appropriately. At age 14 during the 1980s, I was arrested (initially as a juvenile offender) in NY district court -- the matter was immediately removed to family court, and in its final disposition, the court adjudicated me a juvenile delinquent (an "E-petition" JD of a "designated felony act").
