What are the chances of Equifax fixing a mistake on the credit report?
So i got my quarterly MyFico report, and I saw that my score jumped up. So I decided to pay extra and file for equifax report. After getting my equifax score I noticed that it was lower and that it showed "1" Collection. That threw me since for the past few years I have been watching my bills like a hawk. So I look at the Collection reported by Equifax and it's currently has been in Collection since March of 2010. The report of first deliquancy was April of 2009, the date assigned (to I assume the collection agency) was 12/2009. But it's for an amount I can't recall ($2500.00) and for a doctor I never had. Besides I have health insurance so that bill is sky high in the first place. Then I check my Transunion (the one I initally pulled) and that deliquancy is not reported there (only Equifax has it).

adoptive parent with a sealed NY juvenile record?
I was hoping you might assess the following situation and provide some guidance. My wife and I are very interested in adopting a child, but as we begin our journey, a regrettable episode from my adolescence is hanging over us like a dark cloud, and we simply don't know how to handle it appropriately. At age 14 during the 1980s, I was arrested (initially as a juvenile offender) in NY district court -- the matter was immediately removed to family court, and in its final disposition, the court adjudicated me a juvenile delinquent (an "E-petition" JD of a "designated felony act").

Could I claim damages for emotional distress?
I signed a 12-month lease with a roommate (whom I met on cragslist). One month into the lease the roommate suspected me of going into his room and 'snooping around.' He based this on the fact that he had found some of my mail on his bookshelf on a Saturday. I left the mail on the bookshelf that previous Thursday while helping him change some lightbulbs.

Red Light Camera
I was served a red light camera ticket. The problems: I was out of town on military orders when the summons was served. (wednesday, july 14, approx 10PM to a person of legal age cohabitating but not related) I did not return to town until a later date (Friday, July 16) By the time I recieved word of being served (after buisness hours on Friday July 16), I could not call to verify the date

Debit Card Theft
Hello everyone, I recently discovered that an "acquaintance" of mine "borrowed" my credit card to withdraw 500$ at an ATM. I contacted him and he didn't deny the facts, and although he promised to refund me for the 500$, I really want to press charges against this person to teach him a good lesson. The bank investigator in charge of the fraud told me that he has a clear footage of that person withdrawing the money and I have a written conversation of his confession on Facebook
