<div>I was a RN , worked for the above hospital for 32 years. I was retired as 12/31/10. On my final check, they refused to pay my uniform allowance which was $ 150.00/year. they said that I had to work pass my anniversary date which was 1/10. Only 10 days short. I felt very unfair, I had gone through my union for prorated pay, still denied. I sent e-mail to the president of the hospital, no response. </p>
<p>I used to get my uniform allowance in December until 2005, for no reason, they moved my allowance to be paid in January. If they did not change, I would have my allowance in December, 2010.</p>

<div>Hi, an attorney created an S-Corporation, a Limited Partnership and a Living Trusts for myself as well as a Living Trust for my wife, primarily for liability and estate purposes.</p>

My Living Trust owns 49% of the S-Corp, my wife’s Living Trust owns 49% of the S-Corp, and the remaining 2% of the S-Corp is owned by relatives.  </p>
<p>The Limited Partnership has 2 partners, my Living Trust is a 99.5% partner and the</p>
<p>S-Corp, which is the General Partner, is a 0.5% partner.</p>
<p>I am the President of the S Corp.</p>
<p>
Unfortunately the attorney did not explain any of this to me and is no longer available so I would appreciate a little (probably a lot of) HELP.</p>
<p>
The LP has no employees, does not manufacture or sell “a product< its’ only “business” is buying and selling stocks, bonds, ……. and I would appreciate a little help in setting-up “the books” for the LP.</p>
<p>I used my own personal funds to pay for startup cost (legal fees, filing fees,…) for the LP and also transferred some of my personal assets (several stocks) so that the LP had assets to work with and plan to repay myself for these financial outlays.</p>
<p>My question is, how do I categorize the costs that I paid (from my personal funds) to get the LP “up and running”?  Would these costs be a loan to the LP, a contribution to the LP, or ???????  Again, I plan to repay myself when the LP has its’ own funds (i.e. when the assets that I transferred to the LP appreciate)</p>

<div>I have been working at my company for almost 10 years. I have been in the same Department for 9 of them, doing the same job and gaining more and more experience as I deal with every day tasks.   My company employs a little over 25 people, and there is not really an HR department.   There is one person who handles complaints. <br />
I have a moderate Hearing impairment. I wear a hearing aid, but day to day activities are a lot harder than someone of normal hearing, but I read lips very well.  The phone is not clear, and I’m also worried I’ll get something wrong on the phone so I stick to dealing with people through email – which works most of the time. If a client needs to talk to someone, a coworker of mine will do me a favor and help me with the call. <br />
My employer has never given me the same opportunities as other workers.  For example, the Boss has offered new employees paid training and a chance to get their Licence for more pay.   For 8 years, I was never once offered to take the class in order to get my license, and increase my pay and a promotion.   There were only 2 of us in my Department, and my boss paid for my teammate to take the class – never offered it to me.   My teammate who only has 4 years experience now makes more money than I do.   She was easily able to take the class, whereas I cannot sit in a class room and learn because of my impairment.   When I was finally told about a year ago, they wanted me to get my license.  I looked into it, and I did not have to take the class if I had at least 3 years experience and a signed letter from my boss.   It took about 8 months for me to receive the signed letter after asking for it several times, and I have to study with just a book alone, which is taking me forever to learn, because I would not do well in a discussion situation. <br />
This is just one example – there are other employees who started after me, who had been offered to take the class.  <br />
About 5 months ago, a coworker of mine, told me that the Senior Vice President of my company has ridiculed me and made fun of my hearing impairment to coworkers- He denied it, but i have witnessed him first hand making fun of clients of ours, because theyre either fat or cant speak english well, so no one was suprised when I made the complaint.   Not only did the situation cause a lot of embarassment and upset me – I had to address it to the president of the company, who immediately removed the VP from overseeing my dept.  Problem is, is that it did not stick.  The VP was told not to talk to me, but has done so since then- in which I had reported it again to the President.  I was then told that they wanted to open a ‘full investigation’ on what happened and that I needed to tell the president who told me that the VP makes fun of me  – I am not a rat, and that person was afraid they’d be given a hard time for it.  So I didn’t say.   The president also told me that there would be a note put in my file about the incident, and I have asked for a copy of it several times and have gotten no response.   I have also been in situations where the VP has been sitting in meetings when I am being questioned about accounts. Its awkward, and it makes me nervous to the point where I stumble, being afraid I’m not going to hear something right &#038; answer a question wrong.  <br />
I give 1000% at my job, and I’m extremely punctual.  I make tons of money for my company, and my boss has my emails set up where she can read all of my emails (as well as my teammates).   I understand that they own the email system, but when were are not allowed to have cell phones on throughout the day, and I cannot hear on the phone the email system is the only way I can communicate.   The office manual states they allow a certain amount of time for personal phone calls, and obviously I cannot use that time.  So if I need to get in touch with family, I have to go outside and send a txt message or send a private email, that my boss can read.   <br />
This office situation has made things almost impossible for me – because it takes me alittle longer to do certain things, that could be done very easily by picking up the phone and I don’t have that luxury.  I get yelled at for not getting around to do every day administrative stuff, because I take longer to do the more important things, because i have to use Email. <br />
Do I have some certain rights here?  I’ve been subject to not being giving the same offers everyone else has &#038; I have been subject to ridicule at work.  <br />
I have never played the disabled card in my life, which is why I’m unsure if this is something I could go further with?</div>

<div>A legal issue has arisen in a ice hockey parents club registered as a non-profit corporation in the State of NJ. Hostile actions by some Board Members had led to the forced the resignation of 2 other board members, the treasurer and the president due to a verbal argument the treasurer had with one of the coaches.  this was a decision made by a personal vendetta without consulting the consensus of the membership.  The 2 members conceded fro their term was to expire in 45 days anyhow.  The problems arose when the hostile remaining Board member and a hand picked volunteer for a new board position started asking for the funds without the proper legal transfer taking place.  The treasurer is the registered agent of the corporation as well as the incorporator and simply wanted all legal ties to her name removed from the club/corporation.  Multiple requests for a new registered agent, a physical address as well as  a complete Board of 5 must be in place at the time of filing the Annual report and change in registered agents.  they refused over and over but wanted the money.  The State of NJ recommended dissolution due to this hostility and subsequently it was dissolved with written acknowledgement from the newly appointed Vice president.  The remaining funds amounted to $27,126.00 and a bank check was drawn written payable to a new booster club as outlined in the by-laws for the school intends to over see the program next year.  the problem is here&#8230;2 members of this Board (really there is no board if the corporation has been dissolved) have no idea what they are doing&#8230;.bur they wanted the money.  Neither is willing to take their time and put out any fees to register a newly formed booster club in order to cash the check.  Prior to releasing the check the treasurer had the appointed vp sign for the check indicating he was to start a newly formed booster club and that he held her harmless and release her of any and all liability that may arise form the old club and any future clubs that may offer ice hockey at that school.  Now they hold onto the check for 3 weeks without informing the membership of the status of funds.  After several inquiries from the membership the treasurer sent an email informing them that she no longer has their funds and they were turned over 3 weeks prior.  He is where it gets good&#8230;I get a call today form the bank that the check was drawn informing me that the schools athletic department was trying to deposit it into their activities account.  This check was not made payable to them and these funds are the property of the ice hockey clubs membership.  These 2 men took the money and decided on behalf of the membership that they would relinquish their hard earned money to the school.  Is this fraud?  is the school and these 2 men guilty of fraud also..or attempting to launder money?  they had no way to access the money for they never created a new booster club so they decided to have the school cash it for access it.  All WITHOUT the memberships knowledge or permission.  The bank did notify me that htey ruled the check non-negotiable and declined to process it&#8230;isnt the school guilty of fraud for endorsing the back of the check with a different name than the payee?  Please advise&#8230;</div>

<div>Two Police Officers responding to a noise complaint forced me to leave my mother&#8217;s apartment and permanently ban me from ever revisiting due to the landlords immediate decision that was on scene and not the police.</p>
<p> After pulling me by my shoulder as I was opening the door and told me to sit on the floor.and I was fully compliant. The building manager was with them too as they spoke to me privately and did not question my mother who was present for side of the story. They spoke in accusatory way immediately </p>
<p>A am my mothers caretaker in the rent subsidized building where seniors live along with 30 other caretakers who are all the same ethnic background but me. No paper work submissions or noticication is required for care takers. </p>
<p>No charges were filed against me but the police said the Managers determination to ban me immediately and not come back is lawful. I Left with only the verbal ban.</p>
<p>I called the police department back after I left citing a Tenant law and asking for the department to look it up as well. I was told they do not have that information there but A Landlord can condition a renters apartment by removing anyone immediately with out filing any court action. </p>
<p>They desk officer also stated, &#8220;This seems to be a court issue and you will have to persue this determination in Tenants Landlord court in order to remove the landlords decision.&#8221; If this is the case, then this should have been determined earlier and explained to the landlord, a decision can not been imposed since this is a Tenant Landlord court issue.</p>
<p>The next day (1/4/11) I went back to my mothers apartment so she could eat breakfast and over an hour later the police came right into the apartment and* arrested me for criminal trespassing which was later dropped to a violation. When I asked what call was made one officer said a well being call since my mother was hospitalized two weeks ago. I asked the other officer alone and said the super reported my car there. I dont have a car.  The super chimed in &#8221; we can walk into any apartment anytime they want.&#8221; DOH states this is incorrect </p>
<p>While at the police department, the building sent over a &#8220;Letter of Intent&#8221;* and the police then included the following statement in the report &#8220;The buildings agency did supply this agency with a letter of intent&#8221; which is dated on 1/4/2010&#8243; The letter of intent states several sections of me living there without consent that I have been harassing our tenants and making threats to management.*  </p>
<p>There are  no police reports for the other harrassed tenants and management because this never happened. The Landlord did not state any of this when the police came last night but &#8220;created a fictitious accusation so I appear to be someone that should stay away.&#8221; Signed by Vice President of the reality.</p></div>

I confronted him and he admitted he was but he will not repay the employees and states he is justified in doing what he wants.  He is taking that money he stole and putting it toward the 70% he agreed to pay for our health insurance to offset his own costs.  What can I do since I am still employed there and currently don&#8217;t have another job to go to?  I have to continue to watch him steal from the employees and it is not easy but I have nowhere to go right now.  He is trying to state that health insurance benefits and compensation are lumped into one pool of money and he states the benefits are a raise in salaries that he has to offset from.</div>

<div>Question.My employer has less than 50 employees however the company is owned by a parent company that has hundreds of employees&#8230;do they count towards the amount needed to have a family leave policy? Also is there a law governing HR as the HR President is part owner of both companies&#8230;and therefor does not truly and honestly advocate for the employee but for the company she is part owner of?</div>

<div>Chesapeake, VA.  I worked as a bookkeeper for 3 1/2 yrs.  I got a raise in the last few months, received a bonus on this past weds. with a handshake from the President telling me thanks for doing a such a good job, and I am 4 months pregnant.  Today, the comptroller just fired me and said the reason is it&#8217;s just not working anymore.  I needed to collect my things and leave.  Right before I left, the comptroller said after I digest this, I can call next week to find out more about this from her (ie the reason).  When I left, our head of HR secretly gave me a personal check from her account for $1000.00 and was crying.  Do I have a case?  What do I do?</div>
