Capital one Back door Number (Hope I put this in the righ Forum this time)
I tried calling the Capital1 back door numbers listed in the "Back door" thread, but it was no different than calling the number on the back of my CC, I was flat out denied for a CLI, I was wondering if anyone has a back door number that actually works?

weirdness with credit scores and home equity loan app
So i just need to vent: My house needs a new roof and I have been unable to save the 10,000 it will take to replace it. I have been working on improving my credit scores, my two problems are being late and the utility number. I have not been late with a payment for a while and I paid off some debt without closing the accounts so that lowered my utility. I checked myfico on 3/2 and Transunion was 653 and Equifax was 640. I applied online for a Wells Fargo home equity loan and I was denied. When I called Wells Fargo customer service a really good guy with a thick New York accent told me my score was 623 and they need a 640 for a home equity loan. I said but I just checked my numbers are at 640, I told him I checked Transunion and Equifax and my scores. He said Wells Fargo uses Experian! I just bought my experian score, which I understand is not FICO, and it is 664. So it still doesnt make sense b/c the wells fargo customer service person told me he was showing it as 623. I hate when things don't make sense. Nothing changed from yesterday to today so I still do not understand who is showing me at 623 and I still have to figure out how to pay for a new roof.

Excel or Numbers for Mac file to track debt snowball?
Does anyone have an Excel file that is already formulated to track my debt snowball and update balance each month as I add my payments to it? I used the Dave Ramsey program for a month but have decided now I can probably do it free in Excel, but my experience with Excel is very limited. Oh, I also have a Mac, so Numbers would be an option too, I have both

Got a hospital bill for my mom
sometime last week i got a hospital bill for an ER visit. confused, i called my mom & asked if she knew what it was about, since we have the same name. i figured it was just a stupid mix-up. sure enough, she said it was hers, but that she didn't recall giving them my address. she remembered giving my brother's address, which is where she lives, because she had mixed up the numbers & my brother had to help her get it correct. i thought if i went to the hospital, they could straighten it out. no such luck. they said this is an outside billing company, & that i would have to call them & find out what's going on. so i did, & she said she could see that my information did not match what was in their records, but that she did not have the authority to change it. the woman advised me to write a letter to the company so that there would be a record of a written dispute of the bill. this is the letter i am thinking of writing. comments, suggestions? i don't want to cause my mom any grief, but i have suffered because of my own credit mistakes, & i am not about to start over with a new bill. i'm hoping this will get them off my back.

Wife taking advantage of husband with PA alimony laws
I am posting this question in regards to my best friend who is being horribly wronged by his wife. He is an outstanding citizen, soldier, and father (he basically raised the kids himself, and continues to financially aid them); she was an absent parent, adultress, and drug-addict/alcoholic
