Out of Curiosity
I have a Pen Fed CC that was charged off two years ago. I called them recently to see if I could start paying them, and they told me that the account has been sold to a CA. The CA is not showing up on my CR, but the tradeline from Pen Fed is update every month through the CRA's.

Wrong name showing up in some strange places
Hi all I have what I think is a strange issue....on those "people search sites" I'm not showing up, but someone with a different first name and same last name as mine is. In my husband's and son's case, it says that "m* w*" is a relative, with my age and address. I just pulled my annual credit reports for me (with my real name) and everything came back clean. Should I be concerned?

Do you think I can dispute this with collection agency?
Here's is my situation please let me know what ya'll think. I have to accounts showing up on my credit report for NCA (National Credit Adjusters). They are both from payday loans from Jan/March of 2006. I live in Texas and have since found out that these two payday loan companies are not lisensed in my state and I way overpaid them before they defaulted. NCA is however licensed in my state. I'm wondering if since the original creditor was not if this gives me any ammo to dispute. Also NCA is not showing under collections on one of my reports. It is listed as an account, with a 120+ late. Is this legal for them to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.
