Father’s Joint account with executor Vs will

My Father passed away four years ago in NY, His will states that all property under his control at the time of his death is to be divided equally among his three children, He had told me this directly, and told me that there was "plenty of cash around" before he died. After he died, my sister who is executor of his will informed me that there was nothing (other than settlements due to mesothelioma cases) except his used car and that was sold to pay for his funeral. A recent accounting with the surrogates court on Staten Island shows that father had $300,000 in cash in a joint account (don't know if it is joint or whether she just has signatory rights) with my sister, an account I knew about and he had said was merely for convienience for her to pay his bills etc

Need advice for my Disabled Daughter

My 29 year old daughter has been fighting a rare brain/spinal cancer for over 5 years with experimental chemotherapy and just recently, full brain and spinal radiation. Prior to being diagnosed and starting her treatment, she was very frugal and responsible with her and her husband's finances. About 4 years ago, she started undergoing a drastic personality change, along with the inability to empty her bladder, paralysis of her left leg, severe headaches, blurred vision, dementia, memory loss, depression and sleep disorders

AU on car lease, property loan?

My mother is the one who got credit for us because of our scores.  One loan is through BB&T, and is for a piece of property we added to ours in North Carolina.  She also got our leases for us on the cars.    I have made the payments on these accounts religiously since getting them.  I have asked her over and over to add us to the accounts just so I could call up and ask questions when my payments went weird.  Now she is offering for us to become AU on these three accounts (two cars, 1 property).  Our scores are not up there yet, but I know this would help a lot, since the history is perfect.  It would also help us later on down the road when we want to go with a new car lease.   Do you think we should do it?  Do you think we should wait to get to a certain number?  We have USAA cards coming to us and they say those will take 3 months to report to the credit bureaus.  Should I wait till we have revolving credit open and hopefully helping our credit?
