Is liability the same as negligence?
In a personal injury civil lawsuit due to a rear end collision, is a jury supposed to equate liabililty with negligence? I have always heard that, if a defendant is found negligent, then of course that same person is liable in any sort of accident, but not that is was the other way around. My lawyer told me that negligence was legally the same as liability

mechanic negligence
So i brought my car in for a simple oil change. When I picked my car up I was about 2 minutes down the highway when I started hearing and feeling a very loud and hard banging. I pulled over thinking I had a flat tire, nothing.

Tenant burned up pump, flooded basement
My husband and I live in a new 3-story house and are currently renting out the finished basement to a female tenant. The way that our house is plumbed, the tenant is on a separate pump than the upper two floors. Unbeknown to us, our tenant had been flushing tampons and Q-tips down the toilet, which eventually caused the pump to burn out and our basement to flood with raw sewage.

Short/Long term disability
After injuring myself on xmas eve, i returned to work to file my claims for short term disability. My employer next day'ed my forms to corporate, and they "misplaced" them. Instead of calling me to inform me, waited 4 weeks til I called them, and i sent them another set last week

Withholding my deposit for roommate’s debt

Oil change negligence
My engine is ruined. I had my oil changed by a local "Lube Express" facility on 2/10/2010 then drove directly home (10 miles). I didn't drive my car again until 2/12/2010.
