What caused the home mortgage rates to sky rocket, causing people being unable to pay their monthly mortgages?
The recession was caused by people who are unable to repay their loans because home mortgage rates are too high? “The banks do not receive money from their original owners, triggering a credit crisis, and were able to lend money to large corporations companies.This, then had to cut some expenses and have started to lay off milliers.Donc, causing mortgage rates to rise so high, who started this financial mess in the first place?

Well just sitting here, with my scotch glass and my shih tzu, missign my wife, so decided id try to make an interesting discussion topic. I just recently rebounded from my credit nightmare and have some good CC's now and was trying to use them sparingly because i was stuck on the "cash is king" credo, until i found an article on forbes website. The article was about why using credit is better, it went on and on about purchase protection, lost wallet etc, but the thing that caught my eye was the end of the article which said something to the effect of " if you have the cash to pay for a purchase, why not just use your cc and let your cash earn interest".

Credit Account Age
I have an average account age of 3.5 years on my credit report, and when I pull my monthly credit report through myFICO for Equifax and Transunion, one of the negative influences is too young of an account age. At what point does this turn into a strength and actually help with credit score? I have always heard 2 or 3 years, but I am past that point. Thank you.

Loan Payoff Advice
Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of saving over the past year or so... I have two installment loans: Student Loans: ~$6,000 @ 6.25% - Monthly: $95.55 Car: $13,750 @ 7.89% - Monthly: $451.80 My goal this summer would by mid-summer would be to purchase a house. Does it make sense at this point to pay either (or both) of these off or would cash in hand be a better approach? Thanks!

Which Macy’s to pay?
Macys Store - 2k Macys Amex - 10k I'm using easy round numbers, they are not exact but anyway.... Think I'm going to have 6k to pay towards. I know a lot of people have talked about huge score drops with store card reporting any balance now that CL are not reporting, but I honestly don't believe I am taking any hits. There is a very good chance that as soon as I make the payment on the Amex they will CLD so not sure I will see point gains for either choice.
