Would like to know debit card theft penalties for the state of Kansas
I live in the state of Kansas. I was down on my luck and found a debit card on the ground. I used it to buy a little over $30 worth of gas for my car (I used the card as "credit" because I did not have the PIN).

I accepted a tenant because he was down on his luck, had money stolen from him and fiance, got evicted from thier previous apt. and now sleeping in their car, so i rented the room for until the end of the month, now they say I stole a neckles or chain from their room. They are not paying rent and I got this theft thing over me
