How Do I Contact My Mortgage Underwriter?

I’m being sued by my mortgage broker. The contract I signed says that if he got Loan Commitment under the same terms I signed for, that I have to pay his origination charges. The terms of the loan changed several times, and I was sent notification emails. If I could get in touch with the underwriter, I could find out if the loan actually got commitment, or get proof that the commitment was not for the same terms I originally agreed to. My broker was my only link to the underwriter, and they won’t help me since they are suing me.

Also, if there are any laws that require them to close on the loan to get paid, I’d love to know about it.

Is this comparison between the stimulus package and housing mortgages a fair one ?

Savings and Loans approved and loane money to people who truthfully could not afford to pay back, and now the raminding portion of the loan is equal to more than the house appraises at.

Will the Stimulus Package, with interests due, become larger than what our country is worth.

I love my country dearly, but that package is going to destroy the value of our dollar. Do you agree or disagree ?

With the mortgage rescue plan do you have to contact your current motgage provider?

Do I have to do a modification to my existing mortgage, or can I apply to refinance with another bank? My APR is well above the current rates and my servicer already denied a modification request. I am not underwater, but I definately don’t have 20% equity so prior to now I haven’t been able to get a new loan, since I am still current on the one I have. I know the rules aren’t published yet, but I want to be ready to go on March 5. My taxes have gone up about $ 700 per mo. since the original loan (I live in NJ) so I am above the 38% threshold. I would love to get rid of my present mortgage holder, but can I, while taking advantage of the new bill?

Mortgage loan for a commission based employee?

My husband and I live in Colorado, and we are first time home buyers. My husband has worked on commission for the last 2 years. In October he graduated college and was given a better position, and is now on a higher commision rate and is making WAY more than he was before. We have already been pre-quailified by Bank of America, and we have found a house that we both love. The problem is that they are asking $ 299,500, which is very affordable to us, but since my husband is on commission Bank of America could only qualify us for 225,000 because of the fact that they have to average his last 2 years of income, even though he is making way more now that he has a degree.We are just hoping to find someone else who may be able to qualify us for more. If anybody knows of anybody that could help us we would appreciate it, thanks!
I also work, I have worked at the same job for over 3 years. I receive hourly pay although my income is very little compared to his. We also have fairly good credit, if that helps…

Can I take out a mortgage loan and use some of it for improvements?

My husband and I have been pre-approved up to 125k. We found a home that we LOVE for 69k. The inside of the home has all been recently updated but the outside needs WORK. We are wondering if its possible to take out our mortgage loan for 90k to make all the improvements. (Siding, Windows, Doors, and new mechanicals) Our loan is a “rural development” loan which is a 100% financing loan.
