How long will inquiries appear on my report?
Hi Everyone, I was just curious as to the length of time a new credit inquiry (I believe this is known as a hard pull) remains on your report? I had applied for credit quite a few times last year but I can't find any of them on my reports. I applied for a BOA card (denied), Amex (approved), VS (approved), Bloomingdales (approved), Amex Blue (denied), and then Neiman Marcus card early this year (denied)

questions about health insurance provided by work
I am currently an employee at the veterans hospital in Palo Alto and have been for the past 17 years. During my length of employment they have me listed as a part time employee even though I have been working full time for the past 10+ years

How Long to Reach the 800 Club?
My ultimate goal with my credit score is to reach the 800 club, preferably through all three bureaus, so I am wondering just how long this takes. Currently, my EQ score is 768 (don't know TU or EX), whiched I checked using this site on 4/4/11. The last time I had seen my scores prior to this was about nine months ago through a lender pull (EQ was 758 back then). I have never been late on any payments, and I PIF on each card I have keeping balances at $0 except for one CC, which I keep within the 1-9% util range. My credit history spans 6 years and my AAoA is 3 years 3 months. I imagine that the one factor weighing down my credit score is my length of history and AAoA; however, does this really impact scores enough for me to still be 32 points away from 800? My credit mix is a little lacking as well as I have mostly CCs (4 of them) and a SL opened in August 2010. The only inquiry I have had in the past year is for an Amex Blue card that I was just approved for last week. Though I only have four CCs, my CR lists my CU card three times (two of which are duplicates) and there is also a Dell Financial Services charge card listed as opened even though I closed my account with them several years ago (not disputing this because it is in good standing). Because of the duplications, is the number of accounts I have open hurting my score

Question about OLD AmEx closed account falling off my EX report
I have an old AmEx CC opened in (1991) closed by me and paid in full. Its going to be falling off my Experian report in the next few days, I have an open (current) AmEx from 1981 on my report, so at least the open AmEx is older so I hope it wont hurt my Length of history as bad. I have a 6.9 year history now BTW

Transferring Credit Line (NOT a balance transfer)
I've looked all over the internet for information on this topic and have come up pretty empty handed. I currently have two credit cards with Chase and two credit cards with BoA, with both companies I have one card that I never use

I am so sad right now…
There is absolutely nothing I can do to boost my FICO score :( I am being dinged for Length of History / AAoA. Below is my profile: 3.3yrs Oldest Account 1.8yrs AAoA, which is rounded down to 1. ( Will be 1.7 once new Amex reports ) Overall utilization 2% Highest Individuel Utilization 6% 3 Account reporting a balance ( have a total of 13 accounts ) Mix of credit is good ( 1 mortgage open, 1 auto loan open, credit and store cards open ) 1 Inquiry reporting on Equifax in last 12 months 0 Inquiry reporting on Tranunion in last 12 months All I can do is let everything age... Anyone want to add me as an AU on their Amex that was opened in 1990? :smileyvery-happy:

Paying off Installment Accounts
I am close to paying off 2 student loans and my car will be paid off shortly as well. These are my only installment loans. I know their status as showing a mix of credit will not go away once paid and closed, BUT....
