98 Point difference between two bureaus – wow
I recently had my credit pulled by a car dealer - no idea if the scores were FICO or not, though the EQ seems like a FICO score. They pulled 608 from EQ. I wasn't shocked by this, as EQ has always hated me, and been my lowest score

Found out my EX FICO
My DH and I own a small business and recently applied to change our merchant account (credit card processing company). This is NOT an application for a new credit card; this is an application to accept credit cards for our business. I knew that they were going to pull my credit as part of the application and I asked if it was going to be a soft or hard pull.

Card administration tidbit
If having one card report a small balance with the rest at zero helps keep your score high, chances are that the cards are paid down before the statement date. Irregular bills, like hitting a toll threshold, can be a real nuisance though. You just never know if they pop up during the narrow window between the cards are paid down and the statement posts

dredit card question
I have currently 5 credit cards that are open i am current on all of them but i have one credit card with an extreme low credit line of only 300.00 and my highest is 6,500.00 would it be advisable to close the 300.00 line ? i have a positive record on this account since 2004

Need help figuring out what to pay extra principal to first in what order
Should I pay the highest interest rate loans first, or should I pay any extra money to my mortgage, at least until I get rid of the monthly PMI? Here's what I have: 1. 201 more months at 6.375% on $26,300 in student loans 2. 14 more months at 6.25% on $2,100 in student loan (for some reason, the lender has me paying $92.94 a month on a $2,100 balance and says the loan will be paid off in 201 months!) That's another issue altogether

The best online savings bank with a high APY
What's up everybody. I'm looking to save more, and spend less. My current savings account has a measly .05 APY. That should be a felony. At bankrate.com and kiplingers.com, they say that the online banks with savings accounts will give me the highest APY right now. Suze Orman recommends: Emigrant Direct First National Bank of Omaha HSBC ING Direct As of 11/26/10, kiplingers.com says Sallie Mae online bank has a savings account with 1.4 APY.
