No Death Certificate Issued
My grandma passed away six months ago, RIP Babciu Stacey, and one month after her death we realized that no death certificate was ever issued. In early September she suffered a massive stroke which landed her in intensive care at Rush Medical Center in Chicago for about a month and a half. After several surgeries, she was showing signs of improvement.

Was I disowned?
My father died about a year ago, leaving a trust to my mother. They were very well off. For decades my father always taunted me not to expect an inheritance because he intended to spend it all before he left and believe me, he tried

How much Trouble
Hello, I have a relative who came home to California for our uncle's funeral with her two daughters. Yes, she has been trying to relocate back to Cally for a while with no luck because is has fought her on relocation, but she was here for the funeral and decided to stay a week or so, because her two teen daughters were on spring break. Her ex helped her arrange airline tickets to come and they only bought one way tickets because that is what she could afford at the time.

Father’s Joint account with executor Vs will
My Father passed away four years ago in NY, His will states that all property under his control at the time of his death is to be divided equally among his three children, He had told me this directly, and told me that there was "plenty of cash around" before he died. After he died, my sister who is executor of his will informed me that there was nothing (other than settlements due to mesothelioma cases) except his used car and that was sold to pay for his funeral. A recent accounting with the surrogates court on Staten Island shows that father had $300,000 in cash in a joint account (don't know if it is joint or whether she just has signatory rights) with my sister, an account I knew about and he had said was merely for convienience for her to pay his bills etc

Can I take back a cremation urn?
My step son died last year and we had him cremated and his ashes divided into two urns. Both his natural mother and my husband signed the funeral expense contract with the assumption that each party would pay half of the total bill. We have paid all of our half but his mother had paid none of hers and now the funeral home is after us and will be sending the bill to collections if it is not paid by the end of the month.
