Non-compete agreement
All, I am a financial planner and have been asked to sign a non-compete before I prospect any clients and have them be clients of the firm. I have been working for the firm for close to a year and am surprised that only now should a non-compete be brought out. I am looking for some advice to see how constrictive the wording is should I leave the firm and wants to take clients, and also if it an enforceable agreement.

Position eliminated at 5 months pregnant
In April (at 5 months pregnant), I was notified by my employer that my position was being eliminated due to budget issues.

HOA sending bills, not providing services
I live in a new (about two-three years old) subdivision, with only a fifth of the houses built and completed. A few houses are unoccupied, still to be sold by the builder. The builder has engaged a firm to handle HOA, and the residents of the subdivision do not have any say.

Refuses to produce witness for deposition
Hello, I have sent a notice of deposition to a partner of a llp that I know has knowledge in the fraud suit that I have against the firm. This is a local firm and there are about 4 partners in the firm. The opposing council has declared they will not produce this partner for the deposition claiming of course that he is an "apex individual".
