My neighbor has parked two vehicles on the back of my property which adjoins to their property. I have notified them that I want them removed so I can put up a privicy wall. I am trying to hide the fact that they have turned their place into a junk yard. They seem to think that they can ignore me and my request to remove their vehicles. I have my land survey and would show them, but they act like they don’t see me, when I try to approach. What is my next step?

My husband has been having continuous troubles with his ex. They were married and have 2 children ages 16 & 8. She lives in another County. The mother has cut off all contact with us and has told the children numerous lies about us. The mother has also been telling the children derogatory statements about their dad, such as he doesn’t love them & he only cares about my children from my previous marriage. They’ve been divorced now going on 5 years & things have not gotten any better. If mom don’t like the the answers that she’s given she gets very vindicated & engages in slanderous behavior. 2 yrs after their divorce she signed over their son then @ age 6 due to the fact that she was in & out of domestic shelters as well as homeless shelters. This was adopted into their case through the courts. Their son resided with us for 2 yrs until one day she came down without any notice and picked up their son from school; however it was her visitation weekend, but with the understanding that prior to any of her visits she was to contact us within 48 hrs stating that she was wanting to spend time with their son. We found that she had done this when she had already gone to the school signed him out early and was back @ her home in another county. My husband then told her that she didn’t have his approval to do this due to the fact that he hadn’t been able to contact her for over a week to get some questions answered that she had caused. She then just ignored him and didn’t respond to him. So we ended up having to contact our local law enforcement. They were able to get in contact with her after a few times & messages left for her to return their call. She contacted the law officer he asked her where she was and she stated that she was home. So then the officers asked about the child that she had taken from the county; she stated that she did have him, but that it was her weekend visit. My husband told the officer prior to her calling that it was her time however she didn’t use the appropriate channels. She was then told to call her x husband to discuss when & how the child would be returned. She done this as we were still in the office of the officer she insured that we could pick up their son as usual on Sunday evening without any problems. We agreed to this and let things go as usual. When Sunday arrived my husband tried contacting her with no luck on any response from her. He had just left her several messages stating that we’d be in town early & that when the time came up to pick up his son he’d call when we’d be on our way. She never answered so then we called for the local law enforcement in that town. They arrived and they tried to make contact with her with no luck as well. So to get my question answered it’s been 8 months that we’ve seen or spoken to his son; we’ve gone to court on this issue already but we feel that the judge that hears this case isn’t understanding what is really going on here. This Judge is the one that approved the change of custody when the papers were present to the courts that my husband & his x wife would share split custody of their children. This Judge ended up ordering a advisory consultant; GAL. The court order stated that they had 10 days from the date the order was set. My husband & I did what was requested with 48 hrs. However his x wife didn’t do so. So then the advisory consultant advised that we file a motion to show cause. I.E. that she hadn’t done any of the court orders. So in regards to my aforementioned what is our options for gaining his son back into our custody in a timely manor? I also need to let known that since they had split up she ended up a criminal history consistently of fraud; larceny and so forth. Can someone please help us with this matter because it’s tearing us apart very deeply.

If a child is missing and has fled USA with his own consent with his father owing to the fact that he was mentally tortured during visitation to his mother. Now, that he has turned 19 and the mother is after him to get him back to USA, is there any law in USA that she can get him back and deport him back to USA even though he’s 19.

What are my remedies under law because she’s once again trying to harass me to get me back? As I’m placed under missing children by her, can she be successful under US law to deport me to the US even though I’m an adult now and have no intention whatsoever in staying with her or to have any contact with her? Please give me your genuine and sincere advice, it’s urgent.

I am 6 1/2 months pregnant and about to start working at a hospital here in CT. They asked that I provide a copy of lab work for previous immunizations/titers, which I did. Since I have gotten pregnant, I have found out that I am no longer immune to rubeola- however, I have immunity to everything else they asked for, showing that I’ve either had all my immunizations, been exposed at some point to the illness and fought it off, or have had it at some point in my childhood and fought it off (as with varicella). My doctor has provided a medical clearance for me and a note stating that I am not to receive a booster for rubeola until after the baby is born, as it could cause severe defects/fetal death, however, the hospital is saying that I am not compliant with their screenings and are basically making me chose between getting the vaccination that I’m not supposed to get while pregnant or lose this job. They are saying that they are not telling me that I have to get the vaccination, but the only other option is for me to suddenly miraculously become immune to rubeola without the vaccination, which isn’t going to happen. I feel that they are discriminating against my pregnancy because the only reason I can’t get this vaccination right now is because I’m pregnant. My doctor has cleared me to work, I just came from working at another hospital in the ER in the same capacity I will be working in at this hospital in CT, and they had no issue with the fact that I was not immune so long as I had the doctor’s note. And I feel that they would still hire a person who had an allergy to the immunization and couldn’t get it or a person who’s religious beliefs didn’t allow them to get it, so why is the fact that I’m pregnant and can’t have it right now grounds for not hiring me?

I am a mother with 2 kids in California.

I am on FEDERAL probation for a NON violent and NON drug matter.

Prior to my probation I had a doctor’s script for marijuana. And during my probation I continued renewing it.

On the monthly reports that I have to fill out for my probation officer there is a section that I must check off.
This section reads: “DO YOU POSSESS OR USE ANY ILLEGAL DRUGS”.
I have been checking off NO.

I get the script from a medical licensed internist doctor and buy it from a store. Not the streets. And believe it or not I use it not to get “high”. I have been prescribed ativan and other medication to no avail. I was hesitant at first but it actually worked for ME.

Either way since I believe I can use it in California???, the fact I am on FEDERAL probation and not State probation, NOW concerns me as I have been checking off NO on the reports for over a year now and have three years left on my probation.

Questions:
1. Does the doctors office report my script (and others) to the government?
2. Do the store(s) I purchase from report us customers to the government? or if they get shut down for whatever reason will their records be provided to some database and my probation officer finds out?
3. Should I just tell my probation officer, considering I am not on probation for drug use or drug sales? And the fact I really do need it and my doctor agrees?
4. Should I not say anything as she will never find out…or will she based on above questions?
My officer does “surprise” visits to my home every so often but she only comes in and speaks to me and my husband for a little and leaves.

Hello I was in the Army in 1988 on Fort Eustis VA during that time I received two tickets for no insurance and now in 2010 the California DMV is stating that they cannot renew my driver license due to the fact I have these tickets from 22 years ago I spoke to an agent at the VA dmv and I was told to request a administrative hearing to clear the matter up. I called bak to the VA DMV only to be told that the administrative hearing would take up to a year to process. please is there any help I can get.

Here’s the deal: My wife and I have lived in our apartment (the top half of a house) for 6 years now. Rent has never been even a day late. We are neat, clean, quiet and helpful with things around the house. Oil heat is included in our lease. Our bathroom originally had no fan so there were times we’d open the window briefly to let the steam out during or after taking a shower. Our landlord accused us of leaving the window open all night and day in the dead of winter, which we of course did not do. Even if we did, the thermostat is in the hallway and with the bathroom door closed, how would the thermostat know if the window was open or not? Anyway, a year ago the landlord installed electric heat in our apartment which we are now responsible for paying. Our electric bill has obviously gone through the roof. He didn’t listen to reason and accept that we only opened the window briefly and since he installed the fan we have never opened it. Even after telling him that and trying to prove that we no longer opened the window at all he still went ahead and installed the electric heating.

So, my question is: can a landlord just decide to switch over the method of heating and put the responsibility on us? The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that he believes we left the window open all the time. How would he even know unless he was spying on us?

Btw, this is all in addition to the fact that there is only one AC unit in the apartment so our electric bill is high in the summer as well due to the fact that we have to keep it running continuously to try and keep the place cool.

I have thought about this so long that I must apologize to you, gentle readers, for being unable to conceal my disgust with the whole process which is fetid at best.

Here’s the scenario:

Questions concern the scenario wherein the parties are a scummy lawfirm representing scummy
junk debt buyer and heard by a scummy judge

Based on the fact that these 3 scummy entities are involved in what amounts to an abuse of the courts of approximately 1,000 cases of the aforementioned slimy cause. It is abuse of the courts because the courts have become a pimp for the slimy junk debt buyers and their slimy lawyers. Or maybe I should say they have become a thug/enforcer for slimy debt collectors et al to engage in intimidation, deceit, presenting false evidence, trickery, lies etc. in order to get these worthless immoral debt buyers their ill-gotten gains to which they have no legal right

And assuming the judge is no idiot, seeing these unlawful lawyers day after day with no proof marching victoriously out the courtroom door with their next treasure trove of sham judgments they will use to suck the lifeblood out of a community, hurray hurray we won?

Yes the slimey people won. In spite of the fact that slime judge knows the truth, is that okee dokee for a judge to do that? I mean, if a judge knows you are bringing case after case where the only proof is that debt collector is a bottom dwelling scum sucking bunch of creeps, is that performing his oath to the court? If he sees this travesty going forward, but no one shows up to dispute the claim knowing all that should he be signing these ill-gotten gains over to the scummy debt buyers?

A judge takes an oath to uphold the law or not? If so how can he honestly say knowing what he knows that he isn’t a creep too.

Why doesn’t he go to the tallest floor in the courthouse and throw his worthless carcass off the parapet so it comes crashing to the ground leaving nothing more than a red stain for the sanitation workers to hose off.

Here is the scenario. Please don’t argue with me though about the premises. Been there and done that. Not Crazy, Not Lying.

I was being sued by a 3rd party notoriously deadbeat collector and their equally notorious deadbeat attorneys. The suit was about an alleged credit card I had with Citibank.

I have never had a citibank account so I denied everything in their Petition which may I say was put together with someone who appeared to have nothing beyond an elementary school education.

Anyway, I appeared pro se and played by the rules and did everything I was supposed to. I moved for a dismissal on the grounds of failure to state a claim and capacity to sue among other things. The only progress in the case from month to month was that we progressed to the next month to resume again a case wherein it seemed to object was to stall and frustrate me, which they did do.

Hizzoner was very thoughtful about continuing a meritless case for the benefit of plaintiff.

Finally the judge told me to come back in 3 months rather than the usual 1 month for trial. I asked the judge basically when do I finally get to see on what grounds this case has been filed, where’s the beef essentially is what I meant and he said at trial that’s when they show their cards (their cards are my words paraphrasing him). Not happy but whatever. Tired of paying $8 a day parking, going into the city environment I’m not comfortable in.

I had stuff to do so I made the most of it and was going to do a set of interrogatories but I figure no hurry, 3 months away. I already answered theirs. About a month passed and I decided to check casenet to see what this particular judge did with these cases (most of which no one shows up on, I was curious about the ones who did). I never found anyone who showed up actually. I also never found any resolution but Default Judgment. Then I looked at my own case and saw, surprise, a default judgment against me in September.

If we were to put the best face on this and just say it was a matter of confusion, seems like the judge could have/should have continued the case on my behalf for a change. I showed up every month while plaintiff stalled and got no where. If it was “just a misunderstanding” it seems based on the fact that I had perfect attendance prior to and there would be no logical reason for me to abandon ship when i was successful at forestalling this law firm who incidentally has an F rating with the BBB, and so the judge might have continued the case for me.

I’ve done extensive reading on the net and in similar circumstances the judges say they try to give pro se people a little extra rope to be sure they get a fair deal. I just ended up with Judge Roy Bean is all.

Ticked, angry, blah blah, shocked. It is obvious to me though no one else will accept what I say, they seem to automatically accept the judge is straight up and I am a liar but anyway. Assume for my sake that I’m telling the truth (and I am) how do I get this set aside/vacated? What are the chances a judge who colluded (please just work with me here) with the Plaintiff’s attorney to defraud me and the court is going to say “okay” I see what you mean when I ask that it be vacated based on the grounds that I was unaware of the hearing. He’s sure not going to say “you got me I’m a crook”.

Is there anyway at this point in the game to submit a motion to vacate and ask that it be assigned to a different judge or am I stuck with the crooked guy?

I have it on good authority that a process server has some papers with my name on it with the intent to cause me to show up and divulge all my earthly belongings so these 2 scummy people can take what I got and make it theres.

I don’t honestly see myself being able to do that because there is a metal detector just as you come into the building and so I don’t think I’d make it to that floor.

What can I do?

My sanity is hanging by a thread due to this and a home invasion recently and the fact that I have already been accused of being unfair to hizzoner so PLEASE don’t, I’ver heard it all a million times. :confused:

Also, forgot to ask, if I file a Motion to Vacate Default what happens with the hearing they want to have me appear?

If you accept my version of the truth (which I intend to prove in due time by getting a copy of the tape transcript) I hope see my “reluctance” to basically go and let these 2 crooks drool over my possessions.

I realize that any attorneys reading this may take offense at my disparagement of one of their colleagues but sometimes the truth hurts.
