How much mortgage debt is there in the USA?

Given all the concerns about the credit in this country, and subprime mortgages, I was curious that the total amount of mortgage debt is at home. There are about 110 million households in the country, with 70% of which belong to residents. They say there are 75 million households owned. Not all mortgages, but if not 70 million, and the amount of the mortgage on the house average is $ 200,000, which is emerging from a $ 14 billion of mortgage debt fear the United States. If only 2% of default, the amount of bad mortgages is $ 280 billion. You may of course be much more élevé.Est anyone know what the total mortgage debt per household in total? This is a real problem that could affect the economy.

Joint Account – More Income But Lower Credit Score
I'm thinking of applying for a signature loan through my credit union for a business loan (3-4K). Also, my girlfriend and I plan on financing furniture but after reading about the effects of CFL's I'm hesitant to do so (even though I don't plan on buying a house or car in the next 3 years). So I was thinking about applying for a larger loan from my credit union to pay for the furniture and business, but I think it would be better to apply jointly because of the amount of income we make combined but her credit is bad

What to pay off first?
I currently have a about $72800 in tradelines. I am using about $10K of that on one card that has 0% interest until Oct 2011. All the other cards are at $0. I also have a $25K balance signature loan that I am paying also (8%). I will be in the market for a home purchase around the Sep time frame (5 months). My EQ fico score is 769. I have about $4K to pay each month towards my debt. So, in order to give my FICO score the best "BOOST ADVANTAGE" for a home purchase, which should I concentrate on paying down first? The Credit Card or the Sig Loan? Thanks, all!

Joint accounts and debt to income ratio
I have a mortgage on my report. I no longer pay the mortgage as I gave it to my ex-wife in our divorce, but I am still on it nonetheless. Since it is a joint account, if I am applying for a loan, how do lenders view it? Would they view all of it as being my debt, or just half of it my debt? The mortgage is $1200 a month and it puts me at 37% debt to income ratio, 1% over the 36% ratio limit most like to see. I have no other debts. Thanks!
