My medical debt on daughter’s credit report
My 20 yr old daughter who is a college student was having trouble getting a credit card even though she had absolutely no debt or collections, so she pulled her credit report.

Which is better to pay off car loans, credit card or put money toward mortgage.?
My husband and I have two car loans one at 4,800 at 4.9% the other at 14,400 at 6.15% and a credit card at 10,700 at 7.9% but we also have a mortgage. What I’m planning on doing is having my husband sign up for another credit card because the current offer is no interest till 2008 (including balance transfers, there is a fee but the max fee is about how much we pay for the finance charge in one month. What I don’t know is if I should put our tax refund toward bringing down the lower car loan so the 230 we put toward that every month can go to something else sooner or if I should put some toward the car and some toward the mortgage each month. We don’t know if it’s better to pay the min on the mortgage and put more toward the other loans or put a little toward the mortgage and one of the other loans. And yes while doing all this I do put a little towards savings each paycheck. Forgive me for rambling but I wanted to be as detailed as possible. Thanks!
I’m not cancelling the current card the one I would be transferring to has an apr of 9.9%. So I would transfer what’s left after the 15 months back to the old card.

What arand e some reputable reverse mortgage companies?
My great grandmother is 80 and has quite a bit of credit card and medical debt but not much income. She owns her house outright, and compared to other options, a reverse mortgage seems to be the best option. It would make her life a lot less stressful. She realizes that if it isn’t paid back, her children won’t inherit the house. Anyways, what are some reputable reverse mortgage companies? How long should it take to process loan requests? How long (from the time of the intitial request) does it take to sign on the dotted line and get the money? She gets tired of creditors calling all the time not understanding that there is no money to give them.

Does having no credit cards or loans hurt your credit score?
I have had mortgages and credit cards and car loans, but now I have none at all. Is this bad for my credit score? Would getting just one low limit credit card be better than not having any at all?

Is it possible to get a mortgage with no credit?
My g/f are looking into buying a home of our own. neither of us have credit. we pay for everything in cash. we have 0 debt. no car payment nothing. we between the both of us we have been renting for about 3 years. we have never been late on a payment. with all this talk about “credit scores” and that it can save you thousands of $ $ $ if you know it, i am not sure how easy it is going to be to actaully get that much money loaned to us. we also will have a 10-15k down payment right off the start. oh i should also say we are both 21 also. so does anyone know if i can even get a mortgage?
Thanks guys
may i also add that we have been paying for rent via check. not cash. good lord.
one last thing. i dont want a credit card, or want to have a smaller loan for something like a car. if i want something i am going to pay for it in cash. but a house now that i need some help on. but cars and other things are paid for in cash. mine when i drive it off the lot.
also i have ran both of our credit scores at my bank. they both came up blank. nothing. nodda, no history. is that bad?
were both only 21 so we both dont have that long of a job history. but she has only had 2 differnt jobs in 6 years, and i have only had 2 differnt jobs in 6 years. neither of us have ever been unemployed. and we both work for big good paying companys.

What is to build the best and fastest way to credit?
I have no credit card. I have a very good job and I am for $ 100,000 with the goal by the end of the year. I hope to buy a house in about 6 months. What is the fastest way to build my credit? If I have a credit limit you can is good, it means setting up my credit card fast? If so, how can a credit limit without good credit history? Oh, and my business is through direct deposit with Chase, I want to use it.

What is the best credit card for me?
If I am 19, have never had a credit card before, have never been in debt, don’t really have a credit record (I presume), am planning to pay off my balance every month, and am planning to use it for online purchases?
How can I compare interest rates, etc? What are some good questions to ask when getting a credit card?
