I was pulled over for speeding in massachusetts i am from new york. The officer ticketed me for doing 93 in a 65 (mass pike) and there is no way i could have been going that fast. I have/had a clean driving record till this. the lights came on i kept my cool and remained as polite and respectful as possible. First the cop gave me hell for not pulling over the very second his godly lights came on my defense was I pulled over at the toll plaza, he was in an unmarked vehicle and i do not feel safe pulling over in the middle of nowhere when i dont know 100% sure if it is really a cop or not. The cop then asked me why i was going so fast i said “i was heading back to springfield to get my friend to her volunteer job, how fast was i going?” and then he told me “93″ and i said to him, “i don’t believe i was going that fast” he ignored my comment then took my license and registration and made way for his car. about 20 minutes later, he tosses in my window a crazy ticket. on the ticket is boxes to check off in regards to how he got his speed estimation, he checked off “estimated”, then above infraction scribbled “laser after toll” however i was nowhere near a toll booth or an on or off ramp for entering the highway, unless he meant the toll plaza i stopped in safely, and i looked at my speedometer when he was behind me and no way was it near 90 let alone 93. HE told me i could go to court or pay the fine but if i do nothing at all my license would be suspended. to which then i asked “im from new york massachusetts can take away my license?” and he said “are you questioning me, and YES WE CAN” and he took off to his car. I feel totally profiled as well, this may sound weird but he was exceptionally rude to me considering how polite i was, I do have a bumper sticker on my car that says “support tattoos” as well as NY Yankee plate covers. Maybe i am being overly sensitive? I just do not feel his lack of reciprocating courtesy was professional at all. I plan on going to court to fight this, and I have ordered my driving record from NY so i can bring in proof that speeding (especially that outrageously) is not a norm for me. I am hoping i can get a conditional discharge since i am a college student and honestly cannot afford a ticket let alone the insurance ramifications. can i get a conditional discharge even though i am out of state? if not what can i do or ask the court to do instead of this rediculous speeding violation.

I was assaulted by restaurant manager at Villa Blanca on 8/18/2010 attending Honoring the Media Red Carpet Event, and here’s the story.

…”I was enjoying a cocktail with some friends on the patio at Villa
Blanca. We were relatively close to the red carpet taking photos as I
unfortunately stepped just outside the entrance to the patio. I was
immediately yelled at by the manager as the drink was literally swiped
out of my hand. He then told me I could pick it up at the bar only to
find out he had poured it out. So I approached him and said he should
not be rude and I would like my drink replaced. Then he lost his cool,
began yelling again, and insisted that I leave immediately or he would
call the police. As several people witnessed, he actually assaulted me
and forcefully grabbed me by the arm and pulled me towards the door. I
had to pull away and get the help of onlookers to get him to stop
berating me.”

I’d like to know my options and my rights for the damages they’ve caused me — emotional trauma from the public embarrassment and physical harassment. And I want a formal apology.

Here’s the situation, my current job is known for it’s office politics. The company is a call center and is also known for it’s filthiness, general incompetence, and the aforementioned office politics. They’re working on fixing the filthiness and possibly the incompetence. Anyway, a few months ago an employee, call him Alex, found a link on the internal network (accessible by anyone who worked there) to private information of employees, like date of birth, address, and social security number. This information was for the people in the call center and seemingly everyone in the country who was employed by the call center. He told my former supervisor. This company, being the rather short-sited, fired the employee and the supervisor in a blatant “cover-your-ass” move, if it were me, I would have given thanks for pointing it out. They had known about this network folder for a while, and were using it for some purpose, but it was accessible to anyone. This is where I get involved somehow. Anyway, I was good friends with my former supervisor Adam and my co-worker Alex, and when they fired Alex they gave him a paycheck. He gets direct deposit and didn’t look at what he thought was his stub until he got home. It turns out it was my paycheck. I videotaped my adventure to get the paycheck back from Alex. Needless to say I was dumbfounded. I had the feeling they had it out for me for a while, as I am not very good at social interaction and am generally weird, but so are a number of people who work in technical support. I also have a tendency to argue when I feel I’m being treated unjustly, as I used to be a pushover.

Anyway, fast forward a little to today, here recently I’ve had a run-in with a hot headed co-worker who holds a grudge, call him James. I interrupted him speaking it seems. Now I can lose my cool sometimes, but my anger is fleeting; I have no problem with forgiveness and second chances. I apologized to this person in writing, which is further than any other person would have gone. Later on I also hurt the feelings of a female co-worker in a phone call during off hours. She told me as much at work. My supervisor told me that the other team’s supervisor told her to tell me that I was not to bother them why they were on calls. Later on, to make amends to my female co-worker I brought her a coffee drink and dropped it off at her desk, as to not interrupt, this caused her supervisor to flip out. She marched me over to HR who told me since I was surplussed for the day (sent home due to low calls) not to hang out once I’m off the clock and not to venture in to the section for the other calling campaign.

So I did not bother them while they were on calls, nor did venture in to there area, but recently I did speak to one of the agents near their area, this was someone else, as I as avoiding the other two as not to cause a hostile work environment, make waves or generally be unwanted. This was before their work was to begin for the day. We work in an open floor with cubicles, no barriers. I feel their supervisor and James have a grudge against me. James at one point cursed on the call floor and later on threatened to “rip my arms off.” I have a witness or two to back this up. Our job has a policy in place for dealing with write-ups, called a ROC for record of contact and also written corrective forms. I was not written up for anything relating to this at all. Now I’m suspended for some reason (soon fired perhaps), probably for talking to my co-workers.

PS, I’m in an at-will state AFAIK.

To start off, my oldest is 6 years old and I have not been a big part of her life. It was not my choice. I have made attempts, trying to get along with the mother and asking her why she doesnt want me to be in my daughters life and she wont come up with a good enough excuse. I tried taking her to court to get my visitations but the lawyer I had screwed me over and didnt file the paper work right and wanted me to pay him more money to do it over. Every where I turned I was failing. My cousin is my ex-g/f’s step mom and was sneaking around and letting me see her on occiasion until she got older and was able to start telling. I have got my child support almost caught up because I have the worst luck with Jobs. I have no felonies or anything I just have a hard time with them.
Well within the last year my ex was letting me see my daughter almost every weekend, yet it was always EVERY weekend. I had to go see her at her house which at that point was over 30 mintues. I am married and have a three year old. She would do things to aggervate my wife and bless her she was able to keep her cool. She helped me out a lot with all of this keeping emails and status messages that she would advertise herself online and her phone number wanting someone to “snuggle” with and I am talking about my ex girlfriend not my wife, well in oct 09 my ex and I had an aggrement to where I had my oldest for three days and she had her for three days and we would split the 7th day. It was going very well and everyone we had my oldest around started to notice a big change in her within just 4 months. On the 16 of Feb she had gotten upset and aggervated over something that really had nothing to do with my daughter and expected us to just stop letting ppl come over to our house. When we had friends come over we would always have them over on nights we didnt have her, she always came over first things in the morning because I was the one who sent her to school due to the mothers work hours. Well she took her away because she wasnt getting her way over something completly out of our control. She had the cops come and take my daugher away and had both my children crying. My three year old wants her sissy back and I havent seen her since. My ex is in and out of relationships and has my daughter around them all within days of knowing these men. there has already been an issue brought up about her being forced to touch one of them and all kinds of different things. My daughter knows to much about sex and periods for her being 6 years old. I do not believe that her living with her mother is in her best intrest oh and my ex really dont even have her either, when she does she dont pay attention to her, yells at her. My daughter is usally with my ex’s mother and step father. I want to get custody or go back to waht we had and I am having a very hard time trying to find a lawyer that wants to do what I want and at a reasonalbe price. I am a working dad and my wife stays home with our daughter due to it being cheper for her to stay home. I am so lost and I dont want to give up on my daughter. I dont expect any lawyer to do it for free but do to where I can actualy pay in my price range. Its hard, can anyone help me with some advice on what to do??? Legal aid isnt helping either.:(
