Do you believe the new financial reform act will help some one who has no financial responsibility?

Yahoo news reports today that “The days of the “liar loan” are now officially over”.

However when the loan officer put down more income then you made just to get the loan, whose is really responsible?

I can give you many examples of people I know who are in debt and have no financial responsibility at all.

If you held out a dollar in front of them and said read the terms. These people would grab that dollar and not even think about what it will cost them down the road.

There are many incidents I know of personally where there is no way to help people because that lack the responsibility to take care of themselves.

Here is just one more example. I know a man who was in an auto accident and sued, He got a big settlement and the first thing he did was spend the money on a new luxury car and a new boat. With in one year he was broke again,

Now the hospital where he was treated for his injuries is suing him because he did not pay the bill. He is over 6 months behind on his mortgage. It would have been more except for friends (like myself) who helped him when he was down by loaning him money (interest free) to pay his mortgage payment. None of us were paid back. Now he is trying to play the pity me trip.

There are many good points proposed for this bill (that have yet to be augured about in congress) so we really don’t know what the final product will be. But for the most part we are once again trying to protect idiots from themselves.

Do you believe any bill could change this type of behavior?

New bill before congress regarding sub prime loans?

There is a bill in the works that would freeze a persons sub prime mortgage at the rate it was before it is adjusted.

Does anyone have more detials on this? Does anyone know when this might pass?

A Law That should be made

Between 6- 8 years ago, I had go to the hospital for various reasons, I did not have insurance   When you go to the hospital, every department that you used sends you a bill. Sometimes you get 3 bills for a visit.   My point is there should only be  1, roll it up or something

Charged with Larceny after picking up radio to turn in

During the past holiday season and final exam week, I noticed an abandoned radio/walkie talkie. After realizing it was still abandoned after visiting our student lounge I searched the first floor lobby and hallways for someone to find the owner of the radio, a janitor or authority figure to turn in the radio.
