My employer wants to get rid of me
I'm not sure about any legal recourse I might have because I've received conflicting information about this, but my employer has apparently been trying to get me to quit. I'm an armed security officer here in New York and I've worked for my present employer since 2001. I hurt my back while at work July 14th 2009, and this subsequently led to a blood clot and hospital stay.

Firing an employee with a contract
I own a small LLC and we are growing. I currently employee a independent contractor but my accountant says she really is an employee. If I keep her on with a contract that needs to be renewed, how will that affect my unemployment insurance if I decide not to renew her contract and effectively "fire" her.

Attorney/Client Agreements
I know this is a long post/question, but it is a topic many may find interesting as it shows that there are no cut and dry rules to agreements, in this case an agreement between an attorney and their client. The questions are 1.) if an attorney presented you, now the client, with this agreement, would it meet your approval and, 2.) if not, what would you change? The attorney/client fee agreement: “This Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") is entered into between xxxxxxxxx (hereinafter referred to as "Attorney") and xxxxxxxxxxx xxxxx (hereinafter referred to as “Client”)

Is this job a money laundering scam? Am I responsible?
I recently took a payroll processing job where I set up a joint banking account to receive money from the company and dispersed it by international wire transfers. Now the bank says that there was fraud by the joint account holder with the deposits, that the deposits were not authorized. The bank says that they're holding me liable for the money.Where do I stand here? I have an e-contract with the company that outlines my compensation as $4000- payable at the beginning of the month plus 5% of each transfer processed. Is there any kind of problem with this?

Employer overpaid profit sharing
the compensation consultant issued certificates at year end 2009 with my vested account balance of my profit sharing. In May I terminated and rolled over into an ROTH IRA, and paid the taxes

Why you have to hire a public adjuster
If your property was damaged by hurricane, flood, heavy rain, firestorm or any other natural event, you may think that you would be able to claim a handsome amount from the insurance company to rebuild your damaged property. But insurance companies are the number one swindlers when it comers to customer claims. When you file for a claim in your insurance company, they would send their representatives to assess the damage who will intentionally record the damage falsely so that the insurance company could compensate you as least as possible leaving you unable to rebuild your damaged property.
