My medical debt on daughter’s credit report
My 20 yr old daughter who is a college student was having trouble getting a credit card even though she had absolutely no debt or collections, so she pulled her credit report.

Back ground check Lexis -Nexus
Hi,
My employer wanted to do a random background check with Lexis Nexus. I passed when I was hired back in 2006 and my credit has declined due to some health issues.
I am wondering….if I place a block on my 3 bureaus, will Lexis Nexus still be able to pull my credit bureau reports and show them to my employer?
I don’t mind them looking at my tickets, and I am not any type of criminal. I just had been diagnosed with cancer and some things have gone to collections. Any advice is appreciated!

NY Statute of limitations on debt judgement
I was recently informed that I had a judgment placed on me back in 1999 regarding an unpaid department store charge account from the early 90's. I was sent a letter from an attorney's office stating that they were now handling the collections for this judgment and I should contact them to arrange payment

crime victim compensation claim and accounts in collections
I was recently compensated by the state of Illinois for a crime victim claim. The state has paid my bills resulting from the incident. There are two accounts that remain in collections, even once the original debtors were paid.

Help me and my Fiance get above 750!
I am here because like many I want to make sure that my credit score does not hurt my chances on a great rate on my first home. I plan on buying a home in May of 2012 with my current fiance (by then wife) and we need to maximize our scores between now and then. Right now I am sitting at a 696, I have been as high as 750+. My most detrimental areas are a high balance to limit ratio, a 30 day late in July 2010 (auto-pay did not work on a credit card), and a collections account that is listed as "KD" but closed from 2005. Accounts: I have a Card with a $5500 limit, currently sitting at around $5200. This has the 30day and was opened in 2004 I have a Banana Republic Card (revolving charge) with my Fiance that has a $500 Limit, sitting at $300. I have a $1000 line of credit at my bank
