Client owes $10K, sold business to new owners, not paying previous debts
Kentucky Amount owed ~$10,000 I did work for the past 6 months for a client that has claimed to end business. I have two outstanding invoices with this client and they are indeed still in business. The CEO of the company that has been initiating my services up to a few days before claiming closure told me they are selling the company but remaining in business.

Firing an employee with a contract
I own a small LLC and we are growing. I currently employee a independent contractor but my accountant says she really is an employee. If I keep her on with a contract that needs to be renewed, how will that affect my unemployment insurance if I decide not to renew her contract and effectively "fire" her.
