out of the blue collection letter..
Out of the blue, my husband got a collection letter in the mail today for $7000 on some credit card. He can not remember ever having this card . About 12 years ago he had an old charge off on a credit card but this has long been gone from his credit report and he cant remember if this is the same card .

Derogatory item that came off reappearing from different collector
I had a derogatory item pop up out of the blue this month. I think it's an old item from Adelphia that was sold to a collector that came off after 7 years. It was gone for a year, now I think it's back in another form because another collector bought it. I knew I should have disputed it.

Portfolio Recovery Started Calling Again
Hello All, I have a question. I had an alleged debt that Portfolio Recovery was trying to collect from me. I sent debt validation letters and do-not-contact letters several years ago and since then, the collection has fallen off my credit reports. Out of the blue a few months ago, Portfolio Recovery started calling me on my cell phone about collecting this debt. (I had 2 calls within an hour this morning). The first time they called several months ago, I informed them that they should have a DNC letter on file. They stated they did not. A couple of questions: 1

Neighbors calling police on us multiple times.
