total loss payout. finance company hounds
My question is in 2009 my vehicle was involved in an accident by my ex-fiance and the insurance paid the total loss of the vehicle which they said was worth less than the loan, the finace excepted the total loss payout, and then came after me two years later for the remaining balance on the loan deducting the total loss payout. 1

Concern about score change
Hello friends I have a concern about a collection account from AT&T dated back from 2007 that I paid today 4/27/11. First this account was reported to all 3 bureaus but I disputed it and it was removed from Equifax and transunion but not Experian.

CA’s and their reporting trickery………….
I currently have two CA's reporting as 'open' accounts, as well as reporting DOFD and in one case, my payment status as 120 days late. First of all, how can I be late or delinquent on something where there were never terms agreed upon? Basically what's going on is because of their false reporting, I'm viewed as having current delinquent accounts and debt balance when in fact my balance with the OC's are at $0, which if I'm not mistaken, is where they should be after they're charged off. But that doesn't give a CA the right to assume the terms of the CO and report delinquent payments does it? I noticed the CA in both cases changed the account number by simply placing a few letters in front of the OC account number. Is this done so that it won't be detected as a duplicate? The estimated drop-off of the CO is Oh, and get a load of this........the one CA is actually reporting to EQ & TU 'open', while reporting the same account to EX as 'installment'. Any advise on how to go about disputing these? I can't imagine it's legal for a CA to knowingly report false information, but then again seems there is a loop-hole for any situation when it come to CRAs. The hundreds of hours I've spent researching and trying to understand credit reporting makes it easy to understand why so many people end up on the street! There NEEDS to be ONE standard practice for someting like this that controls every part of your life!

Two- Cycle or Double -Cycle Balances
While researching Balance Computation Methods on the FTC 's Facts for Consumers website I came across this type of balane computation method. Anyone know which CCC's use this method?. Also, is it an agreement that is used by CCC's with only certain customers? The article I referenced also mentioned the most common balance methods such as: Avg

Does Excessive Credit Card Use Help Scores?
I am working toward a FICO score of 800+ (currently at 763) and was wondering if using my credit card frequently helps build my score any faster. Lately, I have been charging almost every purchase I make to my rewards credit card and I pay off the balance in full each month. My average monthly charges increased from about $300 to $800 since doing this, so I guess my question is, does it matter how much I charge and pay off each month or just that I am charging something and paying it off? In other words, does it make a difference if I charge $100 versus $1,000 each month (credit utilization aside), or is there only a difference between $0 in charges and say, $5?

Paid Tax Lien.. Help
Didn't get a response to my long winded plea in Mortgages so how about a short and sweet question here: Got a letter in the mail day before yesterday saying my tax lien was released, wasn't aware I had one. Its not showing up on my CR's.. When i looked at court websites, it was recorded March 2nd and then release was dated March 15th. I took the release to the Clerk of courts yesterday morning. Now, upon speaking to the attorney to whom filed the lien, the balance was paid in full in Feb. He said the lien was in process in Jan (would have been nice to mention that to me in Jan when i spoke with them) but regardless because of slow filing, it didn't get filed until March. would I have a leg to stand on dispute wise If it DOES show up on my Credit reports since it was paid before judgement?? And two, what kind of hit should i expect to see if it shows up. and because i know my luck sucks and since i have a house in contract, i'm sure it will show up
