Criminal Charge 25yrs old NY employee theft.
I use to work at JC Penney and did something very stupid and now facing criminal charges. I did a return on to a gift card twice and did nothing with them for a while.

I was hired by a new company scheduled to start on Monday, April 25th. I received an Offer of Employment letter in the mail, which was contingent upon a successful background check.

Can I sue?
I was recently hired by an airline as a flight attendant pending a successful background check. The company hired by the airline to conduct the background checks reported incorrect information about me. They redid my background check and resubmitted the correct info but by then the airline had already disqualified me and closed my file.

Getting hired then denied after find out I have a kid
Back in October I interviewed for a job with a couple of my friends for a sales position. Interview went well, they even told my two friends that work there that I interviewed well. The VP and one of the managers both told me that they liked me and "welcome aboard".

background check for probation
a background check was supposedly ran on me before a request was made by my probation officer for early termination of my probation. i know for a fact that i have a felony warrant on me that was issued before the check was run. the judge ultimately denied the early term request because i haven't yet completed half of my probation.

Background Investigation and Hard Credit Inquiry
I have new job and I recently got a credit alert that a hard inquiry had been made against my credit report. It was by "OPM" which is the people in the government who do the background investigations. I knew they had to check my credit, but why a hard inquiry, and will this hurt my score (which is really REALLY high)?
