Applying for a marriage license before divorce ramifications
I went through a very bitter divorce where we seemed to over excel and be one of only 4% of all divorces that went to trial. The divorce has been going on for over a year and was supposed to be over a while ago, but something has always popped up. The latest was after the final trial date (that's all over now), her attorney had a brother die, so that delayed it for three weeks, then it was the holiday's and the judge went on vacation for another couple of weeks

Motorcycle Accident
On Sept. 9, 2007 in New Jersey, I was a passenger on my husband's motorcycle when very abruptly the car in front of us slammed on its brakes causing us to slide. My right lower leg hit the rear rubber inlayed bumper of the car and that caused a severe 3rd degree friction burn.

Attorney not Honoring my Request
I was sued for negligent misrepresentation and my insurance company (homeowner's liability) will not defend me. I hired my attorney to ask the court to require the insurance company to defend me. With such a case, a judge makes a decision based solely on the original complaint and the insurance policy to determine coverage; there is no trial or extra info besides our briefs.

Ferpa problem -education law
April 20, 2011 Dear Attorney, My question, I believe, pertains to a Family Education Rights Privacy Act (FERPA) issue: My immediate concern is how to handle a situation in which false and derogatory written information was sent to the dean of a nursing program I am applying to from the dean of a nursing program I recently attended, stating I participated in, and then withdrew from a course I took. I did not drop, withdraw, or fail this course; I was prevented from completing it because of the ethical misconduct from a clinical instructor. The dean did admit (in a Dec
