Assets willed to a deceased spouse
My stepmother passed leaving everything to my father and my father passed leaving everything to her. My father has 14 children and she has 7 children, why does everything or how does everything go back to her children and nothing to his children?

FHA mortgage Loan question?
What does it mean to be pre-qualified for an FHA loan?? My credit has been checked, I was asked my income, and they sent it thru the FHA approval computer and said the fha says ok for them to proceed?? Does this basically mean if everything matches up like income, assets, credit we are approved??
The paperwork that I received said we have been “Conditionally approved” but did not state any conditions which was strange. I hope someone can help
They’ve asked for a purchase contract and the title company and they will do an appraisal after they receive a title from what I’m told.
Also under what cases will the underwriters not approve a loan?? How long does this process normall take?

How do they explain the record foreclosures even for those who were not subprime mortgage loan recipients?
or for those who were not victims of outright mortgage fraud?
How do they explain the record mortgage foreclosures and still rising for those people? and how do they explain that certain regions or certain major cities of the USA have way more foreclosures than others?
For those for whom my question is not clear enough, I am referring to people who got regular A paper non subprime mortgages who did not lie or pad their assets and played by the rules and got regular fixed rate mortgages etc.. who are still losing their homes in record numbers.

Sister stealing Corporation?
My mom owned a condo that she used for rentals. She had incorporated and the paperwork I got from the Secretary of State shows that she and my sister signed as "incorporator"

father’s will allows new wife to remain in home; only when sold do I receive a 3rd $
My dad passed away and in his will he stipulated that his new wife could remain living in his home (in Florida) and that if and when she sold the property or when she passed away then the assets would be split between her and my brother and I. What are my legal rights? I am a New York resident.
