Can Respondent submit a motion to dismiss a Protective Order?

I would like to know can the respondent/defendant motion for a protective order to be dismissed in Georgia. I was told by the Clerk of Courts the Petitioner is the only one can motion for dismissal. The Respondent can’t communicate with the Petitioner due to the Protective Order in place. What can be done so I can get on with my life as she has?
